Men's Marlin 40mm Watch

I bought the Marlin with the blue dial and brown leather combination, and it is a beautiful classic looking watch with a solid leather strap. It's actually slightly smaller than what I expected, but it is very neat and looks well made and it is easy to use. You can't see much in the dark as there is no night glo, but it's not a problem for me as the watch looks great otherwise. I don't think you can go wrong with a Timex as they have a reputation for making affordable but reliable watches. The Timex Marlin is a very good looking watch, but it is by no means a cheap watch. However, for the price I think it looks better than many Swiss watches I've seen that cost three times the price.

Absolutely love this watch, looks stunning. Ok, no kind of night glo whatsoever, but don't mind that. Really easy to use, have bought other other chronographs where you need a PHD to set them! Very pleased with it. Strap nice and chunky too.

Beautiful very 70's looking, elegant watch.

There is no denying this is a beautiful watch to look at. If you have time to just stare at it, it is stunning. And then I used it. The domed acrylic cover looks great. The chronograph works well (see video). Let me caveat this review by saying this is my first Chronograph. The first thing that struck me was due to the stationary chronograph hand, it would take me much longer to work out the time. My brain would need to process where the second and the hour hands are, as there are 2 long hands on the dial but only 1 is for the time. So "quickly glancing" at the watch to get the time isn't possible for me. The little sub-dial at the bottom has a constantly moving hand to denote seconds. Had it been the other way round, ie standard second hand, and small chronograph, I would have been able to tell the time quicker. But a small chronograph isn't great either. All the hands are also the same colour which adds to the momentary confusion and so requires that extra time to compute what you're looking at. The strap is good, though the leather seems a little tough when new. Maybe it'll soften after some use. Because of the inability of me being able to tell the time "quickly" I decided to return this watch. In the future I will get more simple non-chronograph watches. But once again, the watch is beautiful and light.

I bought this new Marlin watch to complement my original Timex Marlin from 1969. Far better quality than the original, and just as good looking.

Bought this because it reminded me of my first Timex from the late sixties. The watch is well packed by Timex and the lense is well protected with 2 layers of protective film. Very happy and highly recommend. Good riddance to button batteries!🇬🇧

Beautiful watch. It’s an amazing dress watch with a comfortable strap and an amazing mechaquartz movement. The acrylic glass bends the light well, but may scratch easily, so not exactly suitable for daily rough use.
