Great binocculars!
These are great on the boat! The ergonomics are good including trying to push the compass illumination button which on others is out of fingure reach whill looking through. They feel very solid and the individual dioplar adjusters are great. The lenses are VERY clear and the useless range markings(like all on the market) are less obtrusive than others. The only negatives are the lens caps are janky. The large lens ones are secured but snap inside of all places and sometimes don't stal in place and the dioplar cover is one that covers bothe, losely, and unsecured. Those details mean you have to keep them stashed in the storage bag which in itself is too narrow and requires colapsing them as narrow as they go everytime and the inside pocket does not close which allows everything to evacuate onto the deck when ever you pull them out. BUT again, the binocculars themselves are excellent.

Good value for the price
I finally took these out of the case after two years to try them out. The vision is clear and I like the individually adjustable eye pieces. Some have complained that one of the lens covers isn’t attached to anything but I found there is a slot to run the strap through to solve that complaint. The range finder is easy to use and that helps when photographing wildlife. The image is bright and clear in low light. The compass feature is helpful but I haven’t tested it against a real compass so I can’t attest to the compass accuracy at this point. The covering seems durable and it has a nice feel to it offering a good grip so it doesn’t slip out of my hands. These binoculars are now melded into my photography backpack and are performing well. Overall, for the price, this is a great value.

Here is the battery installation fix..
It's a nice binocular i bought for my small RIB boat. The only issue is the manual that does not describe clearly how to install batteries. Even though others are reporting there is no battery-keep in mind that the battery are separately included into the box. So they are NOT installed by default, and you have to put them in, to have compass and red light working. I, as the engineer, spent 30 minutes to figure out how to do that correctly. I tested batteries, replaced with another ones, played with polarity-NO SUCCESS. Then i just got an idea that the batteries come FIRST into the body, and only after that-put the spring over batteries. I tried to put batteries over spring, which is incorrect. So once i put the batteries, 2 ones, type 936, plus sign up, towards battery cover-everything is working exactly as it shoud. Hopefully this info is useful for those who is having the same issues with batteries/red light/compass light not working properly lol!

Great optics at a great price
I admit, I was upgrading from 10x50's I bought over twenty-five years ago so these were quite a leap forward. Setup was very simple out of the box. I was very impressed with the clarity of the view, very crisp at all distances. The range finder was simple to learn and is accurate (I tested it from multiple distances). I have only had these for a few days so I have not yet had the chance to see how they perform in real field conditions but these are sturdy and should hold up well. The only negative I can report is the caps for the eye cups are not attached and do not have a snug fit. They come off rather easily. Just need to be careful not to lose them. In all, I am very happy with the purchase.

I cannot complain
For $99 these are a very good buy in my opinion. These are not my typical idea of a binocular because I have to adjust each eye piece to each eye rather than with the turn of a wheel in the center like every other one I own. However, Once adjusted the picture is big and clear. Yes, one can find fault with them, but if you don't like these the next best might cost you $1200. Friends of mine that do bird and whale watching have the $1200 variety. Yes, for $1200 the clarity is stunning. These $99 ones serve my needs very well for lots of things. I have yet to full test out the range finder. I hope to check the range finder against my $300 button quick range finder. However, again, I'm not laying on the ground in full bush camo with a painted face waiting for a jeep full of terrorists either. The compass on mine seems reasonably accurate, but it needs to be checked a bit more closely when I get time. It generally says where South is supposed to be. This is not the binoc I'd buy if lobbing in mortars. I can not complain. They work for me. The case is very nice as is the neck strap. What I don't like is having no place to put the eye piece cups. They don't attach to anything.

I can see everything now.
I really needed a new pair of decent pair of 10*50 binoculars. These filled that requirement perfectly and then some. They are crystal clear, rugged and best of all the eye pieces focus independently. Meaning you can match both optical lenses to match your eyes. So what's so great about that. If you wear glasses which, I do. You don't have to wear them whilst using these binoculars. This means no adjusting eyepieces to accommodate your glasses. Plus add in the range finder and the compass and Bob's your uncle. A gucci piece of kit for a very decent price.

Great Value. Clear, sharp, powerful light gathering, good focus near and far with no adjustment.
I compared these to several others with similar features at this price point, and a pair of Fujinon Mariners at more than double the price and these were the winner. The only issue I have with them, which may be due to something about my eyes, is that it's hard for me to see the object of interest AND the compass reading simultaneously. I have to shift them a bit to see one or the other. BUT, of all 4 I tried, these were the best in that regard as well.

Cheaper...but is it worth taking the risk? I am a Mountain Rescue Search Dog handler and rely heavily on good binoculars. Having recently dropped a pair of expensive Nikon ones whilst on a call out I was not willing to spend out another £300 on a new set. At this point i thought I would take the plunge and go for a cheaper pair. These have had mixed reviews but I urge you to ignore the bad ones as they are mostly because people cant install the batteries or have issues with the magnification..neither of these are the fault of the product, more the purchasers expectation of magnification and ability to install batteries! Having used these last night on a call out I can say the quality is unbelievable for the cost. The optics and clarity once set up are just breathtaking. Would I recommend these , yes I would. The initial review is amazing. Okay, time will tell but from the off these are superb. Good luck...

I needed a pair of binoculars for my yacht. My requirements were good for nautical use, good low light performance and suitable for eyeglasses as I didn't wish to take off my glasses every time I wished to use the binoculars. Furthermore, as my sailing is in the UK, they needed to be easy to use when wearing gloves. Included compass was a "nice to have" option as it greatly simplifies monitoring collision risks as well as cross referencing with the plotter/AIS. Delivery was excellent (prime next day) and the packaging appropriate with ample cushioning. The supplied case is nicely made and firmly closes and the case strap does a good job. Too often the balance point for the strap is incorrectly positioned and the case refuses to hang appropriately - not so here, this is a nice functional case. The binoculars are very good. The grip is well thought out and works well. Attached covers mean they won't get lost. Clarity is excellent and the compass and rangefinder markings are well presented and at the same focus as the target so effortless to read. The compass is well damped and provides an accurate bearing far quicker than my hand bearing compass. There is no hesitation or "stick" in the compass - move your aim point a degree (even slowly) and the rose moves to display the new bearing - very good. I initially thought the rangefinder a little gimmicky but it's very simple. If I know the height of a feature off the chart just look at the angle display through the binoculars and then read the distance off the simple slide calculator. I've used the binoculars with both my glasses and without where I can adjust each eyepiece to an appropriate diopter. Frankly there just as good either way so yes - I don't need to take off my glasses either. I haven't tried out the "Floatable" feature and nor do I intend to but it's a great plus and I've gone for the yellow conspicuous model so I hope not to lose them to Davy Jones. Really couldn't be happier with these. They are better than a number of better known manufacturers that I have used when sailing with others and tick all the boxes that I had when buying. Best of all - they're a great price!
