This is the best monitor I have ever owned
I have had the pleasure of using the Hollyland M1 Enhanced for a few shoots now, and I can say without absolute certainty that it is my favorite monitor I have ever owned. More than my lenses, my cameras, or my lights, it gets the most comments from directors and camera team and I bring it onto every set now. The standout feature being the wireless, works effortlessly and I send it both to directors monitors as well as mobile devices. Pros: Lightweight Twist Resistant Mounting Options MANY monitoring tools (waveform, luts, peaking, zebras, etc) Display Color Adjustment (RGB Channels) NPF battery plate or LOCKING external Power + power passthrough HDMI in AND out, as well as SDI in Easily attachable sun hood Affordable Wireless Signal that can be sent to other monitors, receivers, or mobile devices incredible flexible anamorphic modes, with custom de-squeeze options cheap removable/replaceable antenna sturdy matte finish doesn't get super hot like other monitors or wireless systems Things for improvement: It is only bright enough for me at max brightness. I would love to see an ultrabright version of this monitor. A more refined color calibration screen would be great (but at this price point it is acceptable, since many expensive monitors give you no control at all) SDI out, for situations where I don't trust HDMI the latency isn't ZERO, but it is low enough I struggled to find places that this monitor doesn't exceed my expectations. I am excited to own two, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a monitor. The most "affordable" monitors on the market aren't much cheaper, and they rarely have anything built in as useful as wireless transmission. It's a great feature that gives lots of room for your kit to grow into. It lets me run just a monitor on many sets, and removes the need for an additional wireless transmission system, saving weight and battery.

Hollyland is best!
The $ might be higher than your liking but you truly have one of the best monitors money can purchase. You can monitor wirelessly and see what video is being captured for your audience. We run a social media, Live Streaming, Sports business and we love ALL Hollyland products.

Great Monitor with Bonus Transmission Capabilities.
Not only is the Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced billed as a monitor with Tx/Rx capabilities, but it also is simply a great quality monitor. The UI is so responsive and intuitive. You can show/hide elements with ease and move them around the screen easily. With a single tap of the screen you can get a clean view of your shot, the UI really gets out of your way when you need it to. My favorite feature was the recording indicator worked great with my Nikon Z9. No more second guessing whether I hit the record button or not. The various power options enhance the flexibility of the unit and I was able to use the Tx/Rx capabilities in a pinch with my cell phone. I had to boom my camera over a fence and I was able to ensure my framing using my phone. For the price it's an incredible value, I only wish I had it sooner.

A Filmmaker's Swiss Army Knife, Just Without the Corkscrew
TLDR: Step aside, traditional gear setups, because the Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced is here to show us how it's done. This isn't just a monitor; it's the Swiss Army knife of video transmission, minus the tiny, hard-to-use scissors. It's like having your cake and eating it too, except this cake helps you nail your shots without weighing down your rig. PROS: 1. **All-in-One Wonder:** Imagine a world where your transmitter, receiver, and monitor had a beautiful baby. That's the Mars M1 Enhanced. It's so integrated, you might forget there are other ways to do things. 2. **Director's Dream Tools:** With tools like waveform, vectorscope, and zebra pattern, it's like having a mini film lab at your fingertips. Now, if only it could make coffee... 3. **HollyView App:** Who needs extra monitors? This app lets you share your view with up to four devices. It's like being the generous god of monitoring on set. 4. **Range and Speed:** With 450ft of range and 0.08s latency, you could be sipping a latte at craft services and still know your shot is perfect. 5. **Connectivity Galore:** HDMI, SDI, and more. If this monitor had any more ports, it'd be a marina. 6. **Smart Design:** Lightweight, with twist-resistant mounting and a sun hood that's easier to attach than convincing actors to hit their marks. 7. **Affordable Genius:** It's like they forgot to add an extra zero to the price. But let's keep that between us. CONS: 1. **Battery Not Included:** You'll need to BYOB (Bring Your Own Battery). On the bright side, it's a great excuse to visit that electronics store you love. 2. **Accessorize to Maximize:** Ready to use out of the box? Almost. Just add a few extras, kind of like how every director needs a good scarf, even in summer. 3. **Manual Schmanual:** Who reads manuals anyway? You might need to hit up YouTube, but hey, you're a filmmaker. You thrive on visual learning. FINAL THOUGHTS: The Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced is like the multitool you never knew you needed on set, until now. It's not just changing the game; it's playing a whole new sport. Sure, you might need to invest in a few extras, but considering the sheer convenience and capability it brings to your filmmaking arsenal, it's a no-brainer. This is the gear you'll brag about to your fellow filmmakers, and not just because it looks cool next to your coffee mug.

Elevating Filmmaking with Wireless Precision
Thrilled with the Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced! This monitor has become an indispensable part of my kit. Pros: - Monitor / Receiver / Transceiver. All in one, easy to use and switch around - All possible monitoring tools (waveform, luts, peaking, zebras, etc) - HDMI in and out / SDI in - NPF battery plate / External power - Compatibility with other Hollyland receivers and transceivers - Lightweight design / Quality plastics - Very affordable Cons: - No SDI out - Mobile app needs some improvements I had the pleasure of using it with the Hollyland Mars 400S PRO Wireless Video Transmission System, proving its perfect compatibility. This powerful combination significantly improved my workflow, providing seamless wireless video transmission. While a brighter version and a more refined mobil app user experience could be improvements, these are minor considerations compared to its overall excellence. Highly recommended for any filmmaker or photographer looking for a reliable, versatile monitor.

Excellent Director Monitor
One of my favorite aspects of this monitor is that the image looks great! When handing a monitor off to someone you want to make sure that the image is accurate so any adjustments or notes given are true and you don't have to give the ol' "trust me it's fine on my monitor." I'd say I like the image a bit better than the Ninja, and definitely better than Feelworlds I've used. My old rigs involved clunky cages around an Atomos with a Mars 400 or a smaller Feelworld with an NPF slot to slide in a Mars 300 but this solution is miles ahead of those - especially when factoring in price/value! Not only do you get a solid tx/rx but the image quality on the monitor is fantastic considering it's all one package! Something that is very much appreciated is if you wish to use this as an on-camera monitor, you can turn off the tx/rx which reduced power draw and it lasts MUCH longer. The only downside is there is still a very slight delay to the image (which if they can fix then this is a no-brainer purchase). This monitor I feel is best suited for interviews or stationary content to check framing/exposure. Finally, they include a screen protector and a d-tap cable to power the monitor IN THE BOX which is like, man, why doesn't everyone do this? That kind of pro-consumer practice is why I support Hollyland!

One of the best monitors out there!
This is an awesome monitor very sharp has all the tools you need for finding exposure and focus. Also, it is very bright and never overheated even in the Texas heat. Also, one of these fell into a pool sunk all the way to the bottom, and after sitting in rice for two days, it came back on, and it was still usable. It did have noticeable water spots on the screen, but you could still use it and it still transmitted. I wouldn’t recommend putting these in water though lol
