As Worthy As Cushion Compacts More Than Twice the Price!
I’m the Korean Cushion Compact Queen. I’ve worn that crown for 10 years now. So when I say I’ve put the best ones through their paces, believe me—I’ve worn the gamut. To me, Sulwhasoo’s always been the gold standard in formulation, coverage, glow, skin benefits and color range. Nothing touches them, and they can be tough to buy in the U.S. at a physical retailer, where you can sample to find the right color match. Amore Pacific is a bit more common here; they’re made by the same company, and still considered a premium product and price. I’m a 15–or 17 in summer, and never thought an accessible brand like MISSHA would work for me, but an online shortage of my faves saw me turning to this after a deep dive into some Korean cosmetic forums. I was looking for sheer, buildable coverage so I could lightly pat it on on low-to-no makeup days—or more if attending a formal occasion. I rolled the dice on this one and have been happy enough to buy it three times now. This one is initially sheer, but builds the way you like, without creasing. It has a bit of glow, without looking fake, and contains SPF. I use an SPF moisturizer, but it’s nice to be able to layer more on in hot weather. It’s rare when I have to reapply it, but it’s a small enough compact to throw in a small bag. I get asked what I’m wearing all the time, and am happy to share this discovery. Haven’t bought another Sulwhasoo CC since! Try it!

It will be a shade lighter...but very fine texture
Cushion foundations are convenient for travel (no spills or liquid) although they are falling out of favor because they can dry out. This cushion foundation from Korean beauty will be a shade lighter than you expect. I got the 23 which is the cool beige "sand" and I'm normally light-medium or the second lightest shade of most foundation. This was slightly light on me and medium coverage. The lightening effect was brightening--which is probably why the color is lighter than you'd expect; the style for a lot of K-beauty is pale and flawless. It says "glow" and "layering" meaning it's somewhat buildable. As to "glowing", it's not overly matte but it's not oily-shiny either. It does give a glow, however (slight shine). Since I don't like matte foundation, I'm quite happy with it. The compact looks like pearlized metal. It has a mirror inside, and a compartment for the sponge applicator. I would definitely buy this again just for the convenience and I like the finish it gives.

Light cushion foundation
I've been using MISSHA products since the late 2000's. My first product was the BB CREAM in the red packaging. When I moved to Japan in 2017, I started using the Magic Cushion Pro-Cover which is one of my go-to cushions because it is full coverage. I can't find the Pro-Cover here in the US so I decided to try this one. It is the complete opposite in the sense that it provides light coverage and a glowy finish. This one is good for those who prefer that. I also think this is best for those who don't have a lot of skin texture or other skin ailments that need coverage.

Might work for someone else
I'd say it light coverage... It doesn't stay too well on my combination skin type. I'm not gonna repurchase. The color match was pretty good, I don't see it oxydizing. Very comfortable cushion to work with, great mirror.

New Holy Grail- great for aging skin.
This is gorgeous. I have a very fair, neutral/peachy skintone. My skin is sensitive and dry. I have been using Missha for about 15 years, as I've gotten older my skin type has changed drastically and I prefer a more sheer coverage. This ticks all the boxes for me. It's lightweight, has great staying power (I do set it with powder in my nose creases and between my eyebrows) this lasts pretty much all day for me, it has a nice glow without looking greasy. After setting it does not transfer either! Absolutely new favorite- i got shade 17-vanilla. I am 36, have started getting some fine lines and this does not crease or emphasize them at all.

Missha serum cushion glow
Expensive, very sheer, and dry compare to the other Missha cushion that I've purchased in the past.
