Blagdon Green Away Pond Water Treatment, Clears Green Water and Suspended Algae Particles, Natural, Plant Friendly, Safe for Fish, 500 ml, Treats 10,000 Litres of Water

I have tried many other products on my green pond. This cleared it in a week and it has stayed clear. Very effective and I have clear water at last!

Having had no success with the similar Envil product I thought to try this in my 1500 ltr pond of 'pea soup' despite the mixed reviews (no blanket weed just algae). 2 weeks in, 2 treatments later no improvement in fact it's getting worse, almost like this is feeding the bloom!On this evidence I now fall into the category of 'this is a waste of time and money'. (Humble pie - see the update below)Update 27 May 2020:Upgraded this from 1 to 4 stars. Did not work too well on its own, however, combined with at Pontec 5000 filter system, one treatment helped to clear the pond in 3 days.I tried the filter on it's own for a few days and (like the Blagdons on its own) it did nothing to improve the water quality. As there was a single dose of Blagdons left, I used it, visible improvement after 2 hours. 1 day later I could see the newts swimming 6 inches below the surface. Crystal clear water after 3 days. The dropped star is because they didn't make it clear that it should be used with a filter system to work effectively!

this gave amazing results on my small pond, works quickly and results last. i was so impressed i gave some to my neighbor who had the same issues as me with a pond and he got the same results too

Cleared algae from pond water in less than a day. Easy to use and clear instructions.

Absolute rubbish did hardly anything at all 2 weeks later still have green water not looking any better. for green water use the biggest uv filter you can afford with the biggest pump that the uv can handle , pump the water straight back into the pond and have a reduced amount going back to your filter, I only used the chemical due to the uv light breaking , blanket answer is the best for blanket week uv steriliser for green water but it all needs to go through the uv steriliser hence bigger pump largest uv steriliser you can afford hope this help anyone who has problems with their pond PS ALSO TRIED BARLEY STRAW DID NOTHING BUT THE UV DOES WORK

That my pond was like pea soup after a hot April/May is an understatement, I couldn't see an inch into the pond and wasn't even sure the fish had survived the winter.....my Blagdon 6 in 1 pump wasn't up to the job, partly because the UV bulb had failed, as did the new replacement bulb, so I bought a second 6 in 1 pump, put some Barley straw in and still no effect even though I was cleaning the pumps weekly.... time to try Greenaway.Pros - Almost immediately it turned some of the algae brown, within 4 hours I could see a couple of inches into the pond and spotted a couple of fish.....24 hours later and I could see at least 4 inches into my pond and some of the underwater bridges I had with plants on, the fish are so much happier and darting all over the place even though the clarity isn't brilliant yet, at least I know they are alive!Cons - I used the water from my water butts in a watering can with a rose on to spread the product all over my pond, from the pictures you will see that it has turned the powder coating on my ironwork pond covers reddish/brown, I also have some red spots where it has come into contact with the slabs on the edging, if I need to use it again I will be careful how I put it in the pond.I am cleaning both pumps out once a day until the water clears as even in 24 hours the amount of green sludge in the pumps is horrendous.I am confident that with patience this is going to work, I'm not going to rush giving it a second dose as already my fish are much happier, more active and at least I can see them..... I will update in a week or so.....

Este producto es mágico. He probado muchos productos ingleses para tratar de evitar que el agua de mi estanque se ponga verde. Este es el único que me ha funcionado a la primera. He vuelto a comprar otro para tenerlo de reserva.

Da quando uso presto prodotto (4 anni) ho sempre un'acqua limpida e soprattutto non crescono alghe.

Es eficaz pero no duradero.su efecto comienza a las 24h de usalo, pero pasado unos5dias hay que volver a empezar
