Everything you need to hike for weeks.
Just came back from a Trip to Guatemala. This came in handy for scrapes and bumps. I would pack more bandaids and neosporn next time. Nice to help out other team members when they got a headache. Great amount of items for different situations.

An Excellent, Well-Stocked, Well-Organized First Aid Kit
I bought this kit after reading an article that selected it as the best (out of 12 kits) for hiking and camping. That endorsement may explain why Amazon has only 2 left in stock (8 when I bought it a couple of days ago) and why the Adventure Medical Kits website is out of stock. The kit is well equipped although I had to go to the AMK website to get a list of the contents. The best feature is its organization into zippered sections for different types of issues. This makes it easy to find needed items. The kit measures 7.5" x 6" x 3.5". It weights 13.5 oz - 10.8 oz if you remove the 160-page (but small) manual. It's soft-sided and with a coated bottom. The size and weight make it a good kit for backpacks. By comparison, AMK's Ultralight .9 kit, roughly equivalent to this kit, weighs about 9 oz, less than 2 oz lighter. And this kit is much better organized. With the manual removed, I had room to add a number of items that I had on hand from expired and used kits - additional band-aids of different sizes, a triangular bandage, additional medication packets, ammonia inhalants, alcohol wipes, disposable thermometers, and a few other items. All these items added about 4.8 oz to the weight. With these additional items, I had a kit that matched other AMK kits that cost twice as much or more. I wanted to add a clotting sponge, but the sealed package was too big. I can just put that in my bag along with the first aide kit.Everyone going out for several days should evaluate their first aid kit and customize it to meet their specific needs and conditions. (I am susceptible to poison ivy, so I added a couple of poison ivy cleansers.) The kit has enough room to add several things as I did. But even if you don't, you have a well-stocked kit for everything but the most critical emergency. As the article I referenced above noted, this is a kit for hiking and camping, not for hunting or for professional medical personnel. Those kits are larger and a lot more expensive. This is an excellent first aid kit. I highly recommend it.I was not compensated in any way for this review..

I like the organization
I like Adventure medical kits for their organization and size. However, their “tweezers” are crap. I have to spend more on replacement tweezers than I spend on the first aid kit.

Be prepared or face regret.
Nobody plans to have something happen that needs first aid. So having a good first aid kit in your car or pack ahead of time can make a huge difference. Even a life saving difference is a possibility. For the money involved I think this is one of the best that I have found. So in writing this I hope that you might benefit from my years of experience.

Nice, compact, organized first aid kit
AMK makes some great kits. This one is compact, very conveniently and clearly organized, and well stocked. We live, work, and drive mainly out of cell range so we keep decent kits in our vehicles since help may be a ways off. Bought this one for my wife’s vehicle and was sold by the very clearly organized and labeled storage which is great for someone who isn’t a trained first responder. These kits also include instructions and other helpful literature. Highly recommended. For reference, size is slightly larger than a softball, smaller than a football.

Good medical kit
I have had the two day medical hiking pack for about 4 years now. I bought it for a two week tour of several national parks. The pack had just what I needed the few times I needed a bandage or advil. Great supply! Obviously I did not use everything, but it was there in the chance that I ended up needing it. Well organized and easy to find what you need. This bigger pack has even more options than the one I originally purchased four years ago.

Good kit needs a little more room to be excellent
Mostly well done. Could include a C-splint and an Israeli bandage to go from very good to excellent. A little larger bag would allow users to add personal meds or other items to make it perfect for each individual. All in all a good kit though.
