I went searching for very thick notebooks to document my health journey. I looked for very thick notebooks so I would not have to keep buying notebooks and find something long lasting if taken cared of correctly long term. What I love about these is they come in different sizes, very thick bendable library binding notebook with buttery softcover, so many pages, 100gsm college ruled pages with absolutely no stuff at the top of the page just a couple of dashes for the date, contents pages, two ribbon bookmarks with the option for a third if you use the band that helps keep the book closed when not in use and the expandable pocket on the inside of the back cover which was something I wasn’t looking for but has potential for future use. The only thing I wish is they had more colors. I bought the sage green and grey blue at the same time so I didn’t have to worry for a little while if I can’t find these anymore. I looked for a couple days to make sure this particular notebook was the only one of its kind and it sure is. Everything is small thin notebooks for short periods of time and would make me have to go searching multiple times to repurchase. It also has that flip thru like a library book. Love these thick notebooks! everything else was small thin notebooks online. They Arrived wrapped individually in plastic for damage protection and in a bubble mailer. Since both books were shipped together package felt like a textbook when picking it up. This is a rare and quality item find for me!

I purchased an A4 and a B5. Both are gorgeous, hefty books, but the smaller B5 (only slightly smaller than a standard school sheet of notebook filler paper) is the one I'm actively using right now and so is the one I'm reviewing, but both are similar. The purple color is very nice and appears the same 'in person' as it does online. The pages are very smooth and every kind of pen I've used so far glides like jelly and is almost addictive to write upon. Smears can happen, but as long as you let the page dry for a minute before turning it, it shouldn't smear at all after that (unless you spill something, but that's on you). I draw margins down the left with a ruler and pencil and wait about half a day or until the next day to erase my margins with a white artist's hi-polymer eraser (Pentel) that also glides on the page and erases cleanly. I wait to ensure that I don't smear the ink. I've used three kinds of pens now, and none of them have bled through. My gel point is the bold Pilot pen (black), my fountain pen is the Lamy Safari medium nib (black), and my brush pen is one of the Fudenosuke sizes, but I can't read the font on the pen (too small) to tell you the size of the brush. The medium nib Lamy Safari is pretty intense in this book and the bold Pilot pen would be too intense for some people- not with bleed through (there is none, as said)- but just in being able to keep letters legible and inside the lines. The Lamy medium nib is really too thick for this book, so I'm going to get a fine or ultra fine Lamy pen to use with these books. I've also used the Sharpie smear guard highlighters that look awesome in this book and don't bleed through. The Bic Wite-Out correction pen (shake and squeeze) doesn't bleed through but is disappointing, because these pages are not as white as the correction fluid. You might want to consider getting the cream colored correction fluid, if that's a product you use, although, I haven't yet tried the cream shade to know if that looks better on these pages than the white one. I'm up to nearly page 100 now with my 'writing stuffs,' and the book is holding together very strongly. Lays mostly flat, and I like how it falls open on the desk and when I flick through it with my thumb. The only concern I have would be for the binding as I continue through and then the longevity for the binding after I'm finished writing in the book. The book shows no signs of wear, though, but I'll change my review if the binding does show wear at some point, because with a 400 page book, you really do need a sturdy binding. But I trusted it enough to buy a second B5 sized book for now. As said, writing on these super smooth pages that also don't smear (if you wait just a minute) is pretty addictive, so I'll be needing the second B5 book I bought soon. I really hope I've found 'my notebook' in this one.

I bought this for taking sermon notes. I was looking for a high-volume, good quality, sturdy, college ruled notebook, and this is perfect. It's the right size to carry along with my Bible in my little tote bag. The pages are good quality, and my gel pens don't bleed through. It has all the features I wanted (pen holder, bookmark, hard cover, envelope for my sticky notes) without extra frills. There is an index at the front so I can keep track of each sermon series, though the pages are not already numbered. I write-in the numbers as I go. Overall I am very happy with it, and I will buy a second when I need one...though that won't be for a while since this one has so many pages!

I’ve gone from the small, college-ruled, hard leather backed designer journals to these. I can get them in 8.5x11, wider rule, and the cover is soft enough to fold backwards with coming unbound. That’s important to me as it’s essential for my left handed writing. I can get a different color for each year. Also they stack nicely or can be shelved like normal books in your personal library.

I’ve purchased 5-6 of these notebooks in the past year! I absolutely love them! The quality and durability of the notebook has made me a forever customer! The paper is nice and relatively thick. I love writing in it- whether it be with pencil, pens, markers & other media. The paper is college ruled and double sided. I love the size of the paper- it’s perfect if you like to doodle on the side of your notes! I use them for journals- nutrition, gardening, and many other topics. The fact that it lays flat is a huge bonus! I actually fold it in half but that’s just me! The COLORS are plentiful! Nice and bright ones, as well as darker more neutral colors. They are a little pricey but I 100% guarantee you’ll love them! And they have gone on sale before- so check them out!

I love this journal! The 400 pages make it perfect for keeping everything in one place instead of juggling multiple notebooks. The 100 gsm paper is great—none of my pens bleed through, and I even layered Tombow markers five times with no show-through. The hardcover feels sturdy, and it lays flat, which makes writing super comfortable. I also love the extra features like the ribbon bookmarks, back pocket, pen holder, and especially the elastic band closure—it keeps everything secure, which is a big plus. My only wish is that it came in a softcover option with a dot grid instead of just lined pages. Other than that, this is one of the best deals out there, and I’ll definitely be buying more!

My first question when looking at this journal was if there were 400 pages or 400 sheets (800 pages). This journal has 400 sheets! I was over the moon excited when I opened the package and saw the thickness of this journal. My previous journals have come from WMart and they had 326 sheets. Those lasted me just shy of two years. This one will be great for almost three years. The lines are also spaced at a college ruled distance. Super soft cover, elastic to hold the journal closed, two ribbon bookmarks. Worth every penny. I use this for Bible Journaling, so I use it every single day. As far as the bleeding, I have not wrote in it yet, but I use ball point pens, so I do not see bleeding as an issue. The color of the pages is offwhite to a very lite cream. The journal lays flat, but again, not really an issue since I hold it in my lap and journal in my bed before I go to sleep at night. I am really hoping they have this journal when I need another one.

SUCH a solid journal!!! It's beautiful, paper is of decent thickness, the binding doesn't interfere with being able to lay it flat to write in, and the size is absolutely perfect. I got it on a whim to journal, but now I think I may order a bunch more to use to take notes in for lectures! I love this item!
