Most Realistic for Swing Tempo Training
I have both the Orange Whip and one of these Balight Golf Swing Trainer Aids, and I believe the Balight is probably a better tool for training your swing tempo. I haven't put them on scales, but the Orange Whip seems to weigh the same as the Balight. The difference is in the weight distribution. The Orange Whip has more weight on the end. Also, the Orange Whip has a more flexible shaft. Combine these two differences and one tends to put a lot more head speed on the Orange Whip, and I believe this is unrealistic. I have a pretty light driver that I can't swing nearly this fast. I'd rather my training tool reflect reality a little better so that I am training for the true tempo of actual clubs. I believe both are great tools, but if I had to keep only one to train my swing, I'd stay with the Balight. Don't let the price tag fool you. This is a great trainer for your tempo, especially if you treat it like a club and let it start from rest as if you were addressing the ball, do a full backswing, then a full follow then rest and go back to address. One criticism people give this club is the grip. Grips don't matter unless you slather your hands with motor oil before you grab your club. The Balight going to have enough friction and flair at the end of the shaft to hang on, even with the lightest grip.

Good alternative to the name brand one.
This golf tool helps me warm up my old joints before going to the course. Its weight and size are similar to the name brand version while you save money. I think it’s a great value. I’m six foot and the size is perfect. The grip is still good after a year of use which tells me it’s well built. I’m able to swing with better speed after using. Recommended.

Does the job at half the price as the original golf whip
EDIT: on Day two the grip started sliding off the fiberglass shaft... Pulled it apart before the head went flying. Now I can see that the grip is molded with a sleeve of some sort inside to try to bring the diameter up to size. At least now I can reinstall the grip with some double-sided grip tape instead of the minimal rubber cement that was on there. If you’re gonna swing this for speed drills — check that grip!I’ve seen the Orange Whip for years and swung one a time or too, but always thought it was kind of a gimmick. Well my wife and kids are learning to play and my wife especially has a very long backswing and her tempo is often waaaay off. So I looked at the regular whip and said no-way to $109 and this came up at half the price and had decent reviews. There are others cheaper than this one, but people complained about the grip coming off on them. No idea if this will have the problem, but I will make two comments:1) This grip is very small in diameter. It’s like a youth size and even smaller than on my wife’s clubs. So it’s small for anyone that plays with a normal men’s grip or a midsize.2) I’d originally dismissed the all the questions about how to get a larger grip as newbies to golf since most of us that have played a while know that regripping a club is normally pretty simple with some double-sided tape and solvent, but if you look at the attached pic you’ll see that this not a normal diameter shaft. It’s a. Thin piece of fiberglass with a vinyl covering over it. Not real sure of what the grip is secured too.... I’m guessing there’s a sleeve under the grip that would receive a regular grip, but just not ready to dive into that yet.Works fine. It’s whippier than I expected and I’m not sure that everyone really pauses at the top of the swing. I know I’ve always had a pretty quick transition and have seen shaft flex at the top with my real clubs, but it’ll probably help remind me to slow down an “wait on it” as my dad used to say. Definitely will help my wife with extension and getting less handsy/so deep with her backswing (I wish I had that Yoga flexibility...)

Beat golf purchase of 2021
This thing has been so good for my swing. I take 15-20 swings a day, and before each round also 15-20 swings. I use it to stretch my back with twists and turns as well. I golf 36 holes a week, two leagues. Since I started using this swing trainer I’ve gone from a 15 handicap to a 10. Never thought it would help me see low 80’s. Most of the fellas in my golf leagues that carry ones paid $100+ for the orange one. It’s the best money I’ve spent all year. No regrets. It also helped a lot with my drives. A little bit more distance, but more importantly, I’m much more consistent hitting fairways.

Great way to warm up and stretch before you get started on your round
My wife purchased it for me for my birthday and I don't think I have ever gotten anything that was as cool as this is (except for the time I got a Evel Knievel stunt cycle when I was six) I use it to stretch my back and to loosen up my shoulders and it helps to get me in the routine of swinging easy and has even helped to get me 20 more yards on my drives. Would definitely recommend that every weekend golfer get one

Good for the money but...
I’ve been working with this golf swing trainer and it has helped me with my swing plane, strike and distance. But the grip got worn and slick so I cut it off thinking I could put a standard grip on. Boy was I wrong 🙁 There’s a 3/8 inch nylon core the grip was attached to - the standard golf shaft is 1/2 inch so a standard grip is not going to work. I tried looking for a replacement grip but no luck 😬 I tried using a clear vinyl 3/8 ID 1/2 OD tube but golf grip tape would not adhere to the vinyl. I’ve ordered some rubber tubing hoping that will adhere to the golf tape. I guess once the grip on the swing trainer wears out they expect you to buy a whole new trainer.
