Very surprised. Well worth it.
So I thought I was just buying another cheap Chinese torch. I was right, but my expectations were over exceeded. This thing is absolutely brilliant. It’s a heavy item, but very well made. Very sturdy and have dropped mine no end of times on the path. It still works and it’s still in decent nick. The battery lasts me at least two weeks before needing to charge, I use it to walk the dog every day and it’s on for at least an hour a day. It’s bloody bright too. I wasn’t expecting much at this price range but I was extremely impressed with its brightness and being a cool white too. It doesn’t get hot and remains cool to touch. I would highly recommend this torch. Lasts forever, usb charging, durable and waterproof, extremely bright with the zoom function an added bonus to see further away. I’ve now bought one of the newer models and will keep this one for dog walking.

Bright, tough, and genuinely impressive for early-morning use
Picked up the Blukar LED Flashlight earlier this week because the winter mornings here in the UK are pitch black, and my first walk with my Malinois starts at 04:15. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. I’m usually sceptical of cheap torches on Amazon, but this one feels solid straight out of the box. At around 248g, it has enough weight to feel durable without being clumsy. The aluminium body looks ready to take a few knocks, and the kit — case, USB-C cable, and battery adapters — makes it feel complete rather than budget. About that “500,000 lumens” claim: nonsense, of course. No light at this price hits anywhere near that. But I own a Fenix rated at 1,000 lumens, and this Blukar is noticeably brighter. It lights up an entire path easily, wide enough to keep an eye on my dog without sweeping the beam back and forth. Zoom it in and you’ve got a proper spotlight reach. Battery life is the real surprise. It’s advertised as 24 hours on a 5,000 mAh cell, and for once that figure isn’t marketing fluff. I’ve used it every morning and evening for four days on full power, and the battery still shows 99 %. Add in USB-C charging and the option to run it on AAAs, and it’s one of the most flexible torches I’ve handled. Five modes (High, Medium, Low, Strobe, SOS) are controlled from a single button, and holding it for three seconds turns it off immediately — far more sensible than cycling through every mode. The zoom works well, shifting cleanly from a wide flood to a narrow beam. Build quality is excellent: IP67 waterproof, toughened aluminium body, and it’s already shrugged off drizzle and mud. It feels like a torch that’ll survive proper outdoor use rather than sitting in a drawer. Pros: brighter than many “premium” flashlights I’ve owned; genuine all-day battery life; USB-C plus AAA flexibility; simple one-button control; rugged and weather-resistant. Cons: the lumen claim is pure fantasy, and it’s a little bulky in a jacket pocket. A belt clip or lanyard would make it perfect. Verdict: forget the inflated numbers — this torch is the real deal where it matters. It’s bright, dependable, and holds a charge better than anything else I’ve tested at this price. For less than the cost of a decent dog collar, it’s a no-brainer.

Bright, Durable, and Reliable.
The Blukar LED Torch is a great all-around flashlight that really stands out for how bright it is. Whether you're walking the dog at night, camping, or just need a good light during a power cut, this torch does the job really well. It gives off a super strong beam that can light up a wide area or zoom in on something far away, which makes it very handy in different situations. One of the best things about it is the rechargeable battery. It lasts a long time and charges easily with a USB cable, so you don't have to keep buying new batteries. It’s also built to be tough, waterproof and sturdy enough to handle being dropped or used in bad weather. It is a bit on the bigger side, so it might not fit in your pocket comfortably, but it’s perfect for keeping in a bag, car, or around the house. The torch can get a little warm if you use it on the brightest setting for a long time, but that’s pretty normal for powerful flashlights. Overall, this torch is bright, reliable, and feels like it’s built to last. It’s a good choice if you want a strong, long-lasting light that won’t let you down.

Great all-rounder
Very sturdy and well made. It hasn’t been submerged but handles rain perfectly well. Reverting back to its last mode when switched back on is useful and the battery indicator is very clear - meaning you can avoid completely discharging the battery before recharging it. This is done via a USB-C charging port and it comes with a charging cable (if you don’t have one already). The ability to convert the battery chamber to accept standard AAA batteries is also useful if you’re unable to recharge it for whatever reason and it is easy to replace the rechargeable one when it’s at the end of its life too. It comes in a sturdy case filled with spiked foam, meaning it doesn’t roll around noisily smashing things to pieces in the back of your car. Would definitely recommend as being a good quality, relatively powerful torch at a very fair price.

A really good torch
Amazingly good value, really bright torch with delectable zoom and light levels/flash etc. battery life is excellent, used for dog walking and will last about 3 weeks between charges. I’ve strapped it to my bike as it’s definitely brighter than most bike lights.

Great value
Update July 25 : the light is still working fine after 15 months. I charged it in spring of 2025 and have hardly used it since due to the longer days. It still shows 4 bars of power and this particular torch is still one of my favourite lights from my little collection. My original review from April 2024 was as follows: The fitted battery is stated as a 26650 5000mah rechargeable and has given me good run times. There is a sliding zoom function that allows one handed change from flood to throw so there are good light focus options. So far I have used the light continuously on high for about 2 to 2.5 hours then recharged it when it still had juice left in the tank from two blue lights. It took 3 hours to get back to the same voltage. My only concern is that the fourth blue light was still flashing even after an hour from the fourth stage being reached. The manual implies it should be a solid blue one once fully charged. Maybe I did not charge it enough for this to happen but I'm wary of overcharging relatively cheap lights and batteries that may or may not have overcharge protection. The kit also includes an adapter for a 18650 rechargeable and a 3xAAA alkaline option with batteries. All types worked when I tested them. I charged a 18650 battery in the flash light body and it seemed to charge up OK and on full lasted for 75 minutes, though I have no means of testing if the assumed 3000mah power output of the battery I used is accurate.. The AAA was a nice surprise as I did not expect much from this type of power source. From budget batteries I managed about ten minutes on what appeared to be an equivalent power output to Medium power on rechargeable batteries but then it ramped down rapidly and after an hour and a half I was left with a 40/50 lumen like brightness that still proved reasonably effective at a push. Maybe Duracell would give a better return? The 26650 cell gave a good 5 minutes of full power brightness before ramping down to about half that but switching off/on brings the brightness back for a couple more minutes. Most LED lamps ramp down after a period of time so this was expected. A lanyard and basic cloth holster was also included in the carry case provided but there is no metal belt clip for what is a fairly heavy light with the supplied 26650 battery, though it is lighter with the other options. Build quality is very good for the price. As far as brightness is concerned around 1000 lumens on full flood( give or take 20%) is what I got from my primitive test equipment but this is still very good for a light in this price range as it is fairly bright for this lumen measure. The throw on full zoom also compares favourably in brightness to the zoom on my Nebo Slide King rated at double the lumens. The light gets hot in high with the 26650 but after a while seems to cool. Is this the work of the intelligent control chip that is advertised? The manual says” avoid drops impact extrusions” ( whatever that means) . Do I take it to mean it is not a robust product, despite there being a picture of it being run over by a car? A rubber O ring is found between the battery compartment screw thread and it claims to be IP67 rated so should have some good waterproofing qualities. I got mine on special offer at £16.64 when the RRP was £24 so I feel this is a really good buy, especially for the long battery life I have seen so far and the versatility of power sources plus the rest of the provided package. Had the light been smaller it would be toward the top of my every day carry list but it is still one of my current favourites around the house, even above lights costing three or more times the price. Is it worth more than £16.64? I would say yes but advise waiting to see if the price comes down again if you are not in a hurry.

Amazing Torch!!!
I bought this torch as a christmas present for my dad, It works amazingly. Keep in mind in the photos i attached it was pitch black before turning on the torch. It has a long range, its high power and very durable for such a compact design. Overall great purchase!
