We use this commercially, and its fine when we get 20 pairs of scissors that are all the same, but as soon as you have to change the pitch, it'll make you mad. For the price, they should have made the adjustable clamps with a turn knob that clicks for every degree of change.

Works just like it's supposed to.

So it took me an hour to figure this thing out, once I actually sat and read all the directions I was able to sharpen an old pair of scissors, went on a sharpener binge and did all the scissors we had in the shop

I have not ordered this product from Amazon, but I highly recommend it. It is not a new gimmick contraption. It is a professional tool to provide a service in your community. I purchased a Wolf Scissors Sharpener at a True Value Hardware Store buying market when I owned a hardware store. I bought it to add a service to the many services I provided at the hardware store. It was not difficult to use, but does require some practice. I sharpened Fiskers, Wiss, Ginghar, professional cosmetology scissors, even many things it was not designed for, like knives, garden shears, and chisels. When I sold my store, I left it for the next owner. However, he is not into services. One item I deeply regret leaving, at least to the tune of $500. It is an excellent sharpening system. I am thinking, hard about purchasing, because I miss it so much. If you have spare time, want to add a service to a business, or have a “sign on your garage” type business for a retired person, or after work business, this is a great machine. Fairly small,it is about half the size of a traditional bench grinder. It is a very good motor with good bearings. I never had trouble, in ten years, with the motor or jigs. I ordered an additional grinding wheel, and a specialty wheel for the cosmetology scissors, which I also used for my wife’s scissors and Ginghar scissors. My customers were extremely happy with the sharpness of their scissors and had many repeat customers. The first year, I gave each customer a coupon to give to a friend for a free sharpening. It worked well. I am certain it paid for itself very quickly. I am happy to see they are still around and on Amazon!
