LG 27" Monitor
Working from home, this is a Great monitor, 27" linked this with my existing LG 24" and is perfect for displaying multiple spreadsheets. Colours are good.... Sturdy stand, screen tilts, which is great, but doesn't lift....bought a monitor raiser (£10) to lift it up 6" to my eyeline....Good VFM, delivered next day on Prime, well packaged... would recommend

Good value budget monitor but no tilt function as advertised.
A budget LG 27 inch monitor , the overall quality of the picture is an improvement compared to my old 2018 Dell , with sharper definition and better colour saturation. However the particulars describe that the tilt can be adjusted forward and backwards , but so far I'm unable to discover how this works if at all.

Very good after a couple of setting changes and it DOES run at 100Hz
I wanted a second monitor to mount above my main one, for my sim racing. This monitor will be used to display timing information, and to show snooker on TV when I'm not racing. When first out of the box, I was disappointed - the picture was lacking in sharpness, brightness or contrast, so my first feeling was that I might be sending it back. I mean, I know you get what you pay for, and this one is not too expensive, but still it needed to look better than this.I tried connecting via HDMI and D-Sub, with no difference in the quality.I also had not found any way to change the contrast or brightness, but I might have missed that in the instructions. Eventually, just as I was deciding this was as good as it gets, I pressed the only button on the back, thinking it would switch it off, and it brought up the settings option. Duh.After switching off the energy saving, and raising the 'super resolution', the picture was instantly transformed into a very good picture. And when connected to HDMI, the refresh rate can be changed in 'Advanced display settings' in Windows, and now, it looks good at 60, 75 or 100Hz.OK, I understand the aim for energy conservation, but at the same time, LG almost lost my faith, as the quality of picture is just too washed out when you first look at the default picture. I used my plug in wattage monitor to see that, on high resolution and with energy saving turned off, this monitor is using less than 14 Watts while the snooker is on TV, which is very good indeed.Compared to my 15yr old 19 inch monitor, which weighed over 8Kg and used 35W, this 21.5 inch LG is just 2Kg in weight and uses less than 14W, so with just a couple of setting changes, I'm now glad I bought it.Only one other complaint: - there are never any wall mount screws provided - you could at least tell me what diameter screw and what the max safe length should be. (It needs four M4 screws about 10mm length for anyone that wants to know). But in the end it's worth 5 stars for value and quality, once it's set up to your liking.

Desktop Quality
Pretty decent screen, great for most of my work as an engineer. Gives me enough real estate as a second screen, and the view isn’t so bad when I’m watching a video either.

Bad default setup makes the monitor appear to fail when used for more than 4 hours at once
It isn't obvious how to bring up the options menu (button joystick directly on the bottom of the screen), which some product manager at LG thought was smart but wasn't. Monitor also ships with the option to automatically turn off after 4 hours as default which another engineer at LG thought was smart but isn't, as once it does this it can not be turned back on by power cycling the monitor or the computer it is connected to. To turn the monitor back on YOU HAVE TO INTERACT WITH THE PURPOSELY HIDDEN JOYSTICK BUTTON! Note the monitor will turn off even if you are interacting with the computer. It basically looks like it is a dead monitor the first time you use it past 4 hours at a time, without sleeping or shutting down your computer. If you review the 1 star reviews here it's pretty obvious many people ended up sending them back under warranty because of this bad default setup. I think it must be costing LG a fortune at the moment.Once set to never turn off (except when the computer sleeps) it works fine as a monitor. But I have to give it a 1 star review for the extra stress from it when it seemed my sons new PC wasn't working anymore.
