This blade works every bit as well as a forester woodworker 2 blade. It is razor sharp, rips through wood like butter(doesn’t fight the wood at all), and is extremely durable. I love the quality for the money. This is the only blade I will ever use anymore

The Diablo D1040X 40-tooth blade is a versatile workhorse for mixed woodworking tasks, offering a balance of speed and finish quality. Its 40 ATB teeth deliver clean crosscuts on plywood, melamine, and thinner hardwoods like pine or maple, while the TiCo Hi-Density carbide construction resists chipping from hidden nails and maintains sharpness through repeated use. The thin kerf (0.095"–0.098") minimizes waste, and the Perma-Shield coating reduces gumming for smoother cuts. Ideal for general contracting or DIY projects, it handles rips efficiently (though slower than 24-tooth blades) and excels in cabinetry or furniture-making where a balance of precision and versatility is key. While not suited for ultra-fine finishes (opt for a 60-tooth blade instead), its mid-range price point and durability make it a cost-effective choice. Pair it with a 24-tooth blade for rough rips and a 60-tooth blade for finish work to maximize efficiency. A 4.5/5-star recommendation for reliability and value.
