Easy to use and it worked perfectly for my singer stylist!! Definitely look into videos on how to gather fabric I used it for tulle mostly!! I think you move your tension on your sewing machine higher than a 0 with a wider stitch it’ll gather the fabric more. That’s what worked for me:)

I recently started sewing doll clothes. Most of the dresses have a gathered skirt. I first started doing it myself and then decided to get the gathering presser foot. Wow! Big time saver. I love it and don't ever want to be without it. Of course it can not gather exact but it is east to make the gather more or less. A must have if you sew gathers. It'll save a lot of time and frustration.

Easy to use! I just wish it ruffled tulle fabric a bit more.

This works with my machine (Brother PC8500) but only if I use the shank extender I have. I'm not sure if that's the "official" name for it but it's an additional length of shank that attaches with a screw and fits into the regular shank like a puzzle piece. Then it snaps into the foot as usual. I couldn't figure out why the shank was about a half an inch too short at first and wondered how to fix it - what can I say, I'm not Einstein and forgot I had the extender! That said, I adore this gathering foot. It makes beautiful ruffles so easily. I haven't had any problems with the needle catching, you just have to make sure you keep the needle in the center position. I don't know how I did ruffles with out this (and my pleating foot, another essential!).

Does the job effortsly. Would recommend if you have a project requiring a lot of gathers.

This was a perfect fit for my sewing machine and I have had no problems with this item.

I really, really wanted this foot to work, but it just didn't. It is difficult to control the amount of gathering and it only gathered sometimes. I guess the old way is best. I returned the foot. Just as FYI it did fit my 20-year-old low shank Janome just fine. I just didn't work with any sort of consistency.
