I have an older sewing machine and the rubber caps on bottom have long gone and it exposed metal that sat on the table. I noticed scratches on table it sat on. Thanks to mat PROBLEM SOLVED. Pocket attached to front of mat, holds scissors.

I was looking for something to reduce the noise of a machine and this works well. I don't use the pockets but they are deep enough to use if you desire. My machine is in a cabinet, so it's not practical. Recommend this mat.

This mat does a nice job of muffling the sound and vibration of my sewing machine. I often go to sewing retreats and the tables we put our sewing machines are of various quality and sturdiness and some of them can really get to moving along with the vibration and can really escalate the noise. This mat really does help absorb the vibration to keep the sound at a minimum.I don't find the pockets particularly helpful. They can really only hold flat things and when I put something in the pocket, it makes it a bit tougher to get than just having it out on the surface.

I needed a mat like this as my heavy duty sewing machine can really rock the boat. It wasn't an issue previously as I was working on smaller projects that did not include long sewing lines at higher speeds. However, recently I began making a quilt out of my nephews baby clothes. I started to notice that my beloved sewing machine was very noisy and vibrated like crazy at these higher speeds. When I received this mat I was very excited to give it a try. I am pleased to say that it really has helped reduce the noise and the vibration. I was less concerned with the noise and more worried about the wear and tear the vibrating was causing my machine. It has not eliminated the vibration. I am not sure that is even an option due to the nature of the machine. It has reduced the shaking to the point that I am no longer worried sewing at faster speeds. I like the little pockets in front but don't expect that they will hold all your stuff.

This mat is exactly what I needed. I sew at the dining room table and typically but a towel under the machine. Now I don’t need to do that. This mat does not slide around, it grips the table nicely, and is the perfect size. I love having the pockets in front to keep whatever accessories I’m using near by without being in the way. It seems to be well made and a decent price. Wish I had gotten this years ago!

Savina makes great products and this is no exception. It works really well. My embroidery machine and serger (both very loud at high speeds) are upstairs and this really helps dampen the sound for my family enjoying the living room downstairs.

I am very impressed with this mat! I’ve made one, bought another type and was unhappy with either. My machine still slipped around and they were thick and just didn’t work!The mat is stiff brown felt that holds machine in place, cuts down on noise (I see in dining room and it can interfere w tv and while on phone, etc), it looks nice, the detail stitching is well doneI would prefer larger pockets, these are small and stiff enough that retrieving small item not real easy. They do hold my seam ripper in easy to grab place and that is so very important!So far I’m impressed and do recommend this, especially over the quilted fabric type I had before

Purchased 2. Cheaply made. Did nothing to muffle sound. Wool mats work way better & are thicker.
