Not good for a lot of getting up and down on your knees
They fit good except they are a little too stiff for the work I do

Too slim, or not too slim? That is the question
I have owned dickies in the past, but for some reason I always owned the larger, baggier versions, and so I stopped owning them as I grew out of that look.I currently work in a restaurant where I am required to wear black pants, and I used to wear cheap walmart slacks everyday, but these have become my new favorite. They have a good straight leg shape that also gives an indirect recognition that you do indeed have a butt, but without over announcing it like a pair of tight jeans would. The waist felt slightly snug the first time I wore them, but since then they have felt very comfortable. Depending on the pants, I wear either a 32 or 33 waist, but as 32s, these have a nice slim fit to them that won't allow them to sag, which is perfect for running back and forth at work. I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs, and the fit feels great on my legs as well. The material is very sturdy, as anybody who has worn dickies before would know, and therefore can withstand a good amount of abuse. There seems to be some conflicting opinions in the reviews regarding the fit of these pants - perhaps I can clarify. They are not slim fit in the sense that a modernly fashionable young man may think. By this I mean that they are not skinny jeans, they are not your girlfriends jeans, and they are not super butt hugging cowboy pants. They are, however, slim fit in a sense that a modern businessman may think, who can discern the difference between a casual style slack pant and a slim fit slack pant. In other words, there is definitely going to be some room between your legs and the pants, but they won't appear baggy. They'll look much more like straight leg jeans.I give these five stars as they perfectly fulfill my needs. They are not my favorite pants by any means, and I personally would very rarely wear them to any place except for work. But, I still do wear them almost every day, they are very reliable, and I am very happy with them.

Yeah the crotch is short that’s how they’re supposed to be
They’re made to ride low on the hips so if you like to wear your pants riding high like ol’ Grandpappy you will hate these. The crotch is short along with the zipper and this is to avoid the saggy/baggy look. They’re slim only compared to regular dickies. I could go 2” slimmer personally but these are the slimmest dickie pants that still use the original high poly, low cotton blend. You can wash them a million times and they don’t fade. Hold up great to welding. The value is outstanding I got mine for $20 ea. Oh yeah I’m also pleased to report that the length/inseam measurements are now correct. (At least on the pairs I bought) On older pairs they ran short. I wear 32 32 pants normally and that’s what I bought these in and they fit great. 5’10 165lb

I like and I hate these pants
The style is great- flat front, wrinkle free and durable. They are NOT "slim Straight"! The width of the leg is the same from top to bottom. I actually have returned a few pair but had to keep the others that came later do to inconvenience. Instead of saving money on these and the other 5 pair I purchased I have to have the them tailed/alterations to taper the legs from the knee to ankle.

Not even close
Not even close to slim. Probably the widest pair of pants I've ever tried on. Several people said to order a size up, and that was also a huge mistake. Overall a complete waste of time and money.

Recommend for short/ small ppl
Compared to the 874 these are a slimmer for sure. Consider going 2 or maybe even 3 waist sizes up if you want them loose. Also after wearing them here’s more differences between the 874: Tighter in the thighs, leg opening is a little smaller. And they don’t come up as high on the waist.

Avoid.
The material was really unpleasant and the fit was WAY off. Too small for the size they were sold as. I returned entirely, though, because even if they were the right size this wouldn't be a quality pair of pants to own. Avoid. I can see why they're so cheap but not even worth it.

It's nice overall
For a work pants it's relatively low rise and high crotch. But because of this the silhouette is really nice. I bought the black one 32x32 size but the pic for the black one posted by Amazon isn't how it looks for 32x32 size in real life. The pics for charcoal color look very similar to 32x32 size in real life. The bottom portion of the pants isn't wide like 90's boomer pants but isn't skinny like the currently in-style zoomer metrosexual unisex pants. I like the overall look and feel. I almost never buy clothes online but I recommend these pants.SIZING - I would say it's a bit bigger than the listed size however do NOT size down because the material is very hardy/thick and if you were to get the exact size that fits you perfectly, you would pop these pants eventually. And for gents you will feel very uncomfortable if you size down because it's relatively high crotch. I just wear a belt. If you're looking to wear these pants without belt it may not work out for you. But we all have different body types so it's not absolute.
