This is definitely strong enough to block any bird or climbing animals. No squirrel or raccoon is getting through this wire if fastened correctly. I used stainless steel wire. Don't use plastic zip straps.I still recommend checking it yearly, I have seen animals chew through metal over long periods of time.

I like the flexibility and maneuverability for installation; easy. Good for around my portable outside storage building, as well.
