Always top notch stuff from Amazing Grass
I decided to rotate my morning green shakes with this Barley, Wheat and Alfalfa blend, as I tend to use a different AG variety every month to supplement my diet with. This blend seems to help with digestion and "regularity" as well as having a cleansing effect. I'll be honest, while the taste is fairly neutral, mixing it with plain coconut milk, it tastes like a mouthful of grass would. Adding a piece of fruit or any sort of flavored powder or milk would make it more pleasant. But I don't drink these for the taste, I woof it down like Rocky drinking two raw eggs in the morning - the noticeable health benefits are fantastic, and the ingredients are very "active" (you can see the spores/growth clinging to the plastic scoop). I keep it in the fridge and put it in a Nutri-Bullet every morning with some coconut mlk (low fat version). It also does a decent job suppressing hunger for a few hours. I find the positive mental and physical energy boosts from this over time to be invaluable for someone in his mid-40's (along with other smart supplementation throughout the day).

Great for Daily Use for Energy, Good for Detoxes, Great for Hangovers Too!
I bought this to use for a 3-day detox found in this book Hungry for Change: Ditch the Diets, Conquer the Cravings, and Eat Your Way to Lifelong Health , based on the documentary Hungry for Change. Because the breakfast calls for one of two recipes (one requiring a juice, which I do not have) and one requiring either barley grass or wheat grass powder and spirulina, I ordered this Amazing Grass Amazing Trio and I already had this Nutrex Hawaii Hawaiian Spirulina Pacifica Powder, 16-Ounce Bottle . I combined the powders in water; they both mixed up easily with no clumps or mess. For daily use, this concoction would taste much better if blended with a frozen banana or perhaps half an apple, to sweeten it up and mask the very earthy and sea-like taste. However for the purpose of the 3-day detox, I can stand it with just the water. This is incredibly energizing and great for preparing the body for the day. I cannot have caffeine and this wakes me right up. On a side note, I found that this drink is incredibly helpful with eliminating hangovers. I have tried it the morning after a night out with instant relief from hangover symptoms and I've also drank it before bed and woken up without a hangover.

Go greens
Good stuff. I started using the wheat grass powder from Amazing Grass several years ago and had noticeable health improvements in a short period of time.

It tastes okkkk… but works great
I do think this is gritty when just disolved in water, no matter how much I stir it. It tastes the way you expect greens powder to taste. It tastes healthy and like you’re doing something good for your body, because you are! It’s an easy and convenient way to get those nutrients and micro nutrients and go on with your day. Sometimes I put it into a protein smoothie and more often it’s just stirred into water or maybe some fruit juice if I’m feeling fancy. I’m here to re-order. I think it’s one of the better greens on the market.

Amazing Trio
The smell of the product itself is not very pleasant, but neither are vitamins or supplements in general, they all smell like fish food. Most supplements smell bad, but that's why it gets mixed with something else, to dilute it and make it tolerable. I only smelled it based on the reviews I read prior to purchasing. I'm glad I took a chance. Today was my first day drinknig this. I drank it with 8oz Bolthouse "Blue Goodness". As long as you don't pay attention to the color (which turns dark grey), there is only a minor change in taste. Even my husband, who does not like anything "green" (took 2 years of convincing to eat a few veggies with dinner), said it tasted fine. I usually get very tired (and sleepy) in the mid afternoon, and not even coffee (or an energy drink) can help me most days, but today I have lots of energy. I am not "wound up" like I can get after too much caffeine, I just have better level of alertness. I only took one serving in the morning, tomorrow I might try an extra one with lunch and see if it helps.

Amazing
I originally bought this for my cats but they didn't like it, so I gave it to my son for his smoothies. Win win because then I got just the plain ol amazing grass for my cats and they love it! and none of them have puked for weeks now!

Good ingredients, tastes okay, but add some OJ or apple juice for palatability
Good ingredients, tastes okay, but upsets my stomach for some reason - Maybe it's the pH - Container suggests adding to orange or apple juice, which would lower the pH and perhaps make it more acceptable to my stomach, but juice is little more than sugar water and I try to avoid it. Green Magma does the same thing to my stomach - a more or less immediate feeling of discomfort - which is why I think it's a pH thing. Barlean's Greens and several others are no problem for me, though! *** UPDATE - It's fine if I add a little orange juice (80% water, 20% OJ) and a tiny dash of salt! *** UPDATE 2 - For the last couple of days I have been taking it straight with water -- and no problem! I do take it with food, though. I think it's pretty healthy stuff.
