I knew I needed sun shields for the safety "beam" receiver and transmitter, but there are a LOT of them listed on Amazon, but with little specific info on selecting one. I have a high-end Lift Master Industrial Door Opener, so I had my doubts if these would fit, but bingo, they fit like gloves and seem perfect to me. My best recommendation!

These work much better than trying to use cardboard tubes or boxes. I had to stack two of them to lengthen them (held together with duck tape). It would be nice to have an extension insert or modular snap on. The magnets are marginal for the double stack so they would have to be stronger magnets. I would recommend these but the dreaded western exposure from the sun is difficult to handle.

Great idea and super easy to install being magnetic. But it didn’t help to shade the sun. Door still won’t go down when it’s sunny outside

They are easy to install but they were to short to eliminate the sun glare angle at my hose. I used 2 sets, cut the tail off one set, and taped them to the other set, to make an extension hood for each sensor. A little clunky, by so far, so good.

Life saver! We thought we were losing our mind when the garage door started to “not shut” unless it was dark outside. After some research, we found that the sun is a common issue with GDO. Bought these little darlings, and the problem is solved the best that it can be. *as the suns position changes slightly with the seasons you might need to adjust them a little.

I had newer 1.57-inch length Sensors, either model #820CB or #041-0136 installed on my LifeMasters garage door opener. My door would not close when sun was shining on the Amber (transmit) sensor. In 5 seconds, I put your magnetic shield on the output. It blocked the sun and now door closes every time!

I am super happy with these sensor sun shades. These garage door sensor sunshades fit really well with the magnets holding them perfectly in place. I have LiftMaster garage door openers and sensors. In the past week, I’ve only had one time where the door would not shut because of the sun and I was having to get out almost every single time I needed to close it. A huge tip I would give somebody buying these is to make sure that they put them on exactly as I show in my picture and my video because I tried it several different other ways and they just don’t seem like they will work with the sensors, but they do really well as long as you put them on exactly right. I would buy them again for any garage door sensor that I own. They came very quickly and were an amazing value for the price.
