MBT New Women's GT 17 Running Shoe Fuchsia/Mint/Orange/White 8

I was thrilled to see that I could still get the MBT shoes that I love on Amazon. I can no longer get them at the shoe store that I shop at. I love the bright color and the fit was perfect.

I run several marathons a year (2-4). I’m 5’2. 120-130 lbs. I developed horrible heel pain, initially thought to be plantar fasciitis but then after seeing a couple podiatrists, told it was nerve entrapment. They recommended staying off my heel, gave me a couple injections and ultimately suggested surgery. I was definitely against surgery. I took a short break from running, put heel inserts in all my shoes and ultimate switch to MBTs. The speed model has a rocker bottom component that keeps you completely off your heel but they werent great for distance because I tend to pronate and I get inner knee pain after a few miles. These GT are less rocker like but still do a decent job off-loading the heel while providing support. I find they are narrower than Hokas(which are too wide for me and just don’t fit right) and very comfortable. I unfortunately still get blisters, on the inside edge of both my great toes, but these have virtually eliminated my heal pain. Im not a super speedy runner (4:30ish marathon). If you are fast, these may be a little cumbersome for you. But I definitely recommend them for people with feet problems or who need extra cushion.

Love these shoes for power walking!
