Liftmaster
I have a lift master opener. Kept not working properly. Technician suggested I try these. There is still a gap, I placed a piece of duct tape on the gap. Not sure if the sun would get into that gap, but didn’t realize having sun hit the sensor would prohibit the door from closing.Easy to put on the sensor.

THE solution to combat the sun
For years, I've fought the sun hitting my garage door at just the right time of day. This simple solution was THE solution to this problem. Just unscrew one bolt and add this handy tool. No need to reposition your laser. Ta-da!

A miracle
So easy to install and for the problem. It is my first garage and I am so happy it was so easy to fit the problem of the sun hit the sensors and not letting me close the garage door.

Did not shield the sun adequately
Sun still overpowers the sensor.

Works!
The reflection from the sun has messed with our garage door sensors for years. I can’t believe I wasted so much time before buying these!! Easy install too.

Did not work for me, your mileage may vary
The overall rating is a reflection of it not working for my situation, not the qualify of the product or it's functionality. So, I seem to have the same problem that many of people have with the garage door safety sensors being exposed to direct sunlight. When this happens, I can't close the garage door unless I hold down the garage door button (indoor button). I was hoping this would work, but it didn't even though it did shade the sensor. I guess there was still to much light interfering with the safety sensor. When it's not sunny the garage door closes fine. I wonder if the sensor has degraded and needs to be replaced.

Just needs a larger opening to see the lights on the garage door sensors.
These work great only wish they had a larger opening to see the lights on the sensors after 10 minutes I had them aligned. I no longer have to hold the button on the wall then go out the front door after backing out of the garage.
