What's the likleyhood of rust if used outdoors?

Mine did get some rust but very little over time. Not enough to worry about.

What is the max tonnage capacity?

Not sure. I have it holding up an eight hundred pound table.

What is the max load weight capacity? Is it easy to adjust with a load on it?

The unit is pretty sturdy. It operates with a simple screw mechanism that you adjust with your hand. Mot sure what max load is, but I would guess it is fairly substantial. I have 3 of them and very happy with them
