Grounding Sleep Mat

I found the earth mat to be all that it said it would be. I found that it is easy to use and promotes a restful sleep that gives me more energy and stamina throughout the day.

This is first I had heard about grounding mats, and I was intrigued by the idea. It claims to relieve stress, and inflammation among other things. There’s a lot of information you can find online, so I suggest you look it up and decide whether it’s worth a try. I believe that holistic medicine has a lot to offer, so I was happy to take it for a spin.The first good thing about it is the size and the generous length of the cord. There's ample space to sit on it on the floor while I watch tv, and it's big enough to stay put under my legs while I sleep. I prefer not to sleep with it because it's a bit too cool for me, but I’m sure that would be a plus for others.When you plug it in, it's almost impossible to tell if it is working because there is no sound, movement, or indicator light, I feel like I have to go on faith that it’s functioning. I usually sit on it for about an hour a day, and while I don’t have many aches and pains yet, I do feel some subtle benefits of using it. For example, I woke up with a stiff neck and shoulder, and it usually takes me several days to recover from it, but after sitting on the mat, my pain only lasted a day. After I got the mat, I started jogging, which is something I never do, but I didn’t experience any pain or tightness. It could be the placebo effect, or maybe it actually works. I honestly don’t care which scenario it is because I feel better either way.

I was not familiar with this technology until I saw this mat. I was curious and did a little research and I decided I'd like to try it out. The therapy is called grounding. It is a therapeutic technique that helps realign your electrical energy by reconnecting your energy to the earth. There are a few legitimate medical studies on the benefits of this technology but much much more needs to be done. In any case I tried it out a couple nights. I'm not sure if I noticed anything positive at this point with only a few nights experience. I did sleep a little better after the 1st night mistake of sleeping on it too long as a beginner. I also learned, first and foremost to not fold it. Unfortunately, it came that way in the mail. They said to keep it clean with a quick wipe with a wet cloth. The Effects of this pad are cumulative, as a beginner go slow as far as amount of time used. Thèy recommend starting out with 10 minutes 5 x a week and build up to about 30 minutes a day. According to the studies there are definitely benefits but it may take a few months to notice them. The first night I used it, I was using it to sleep on overnight. I guess I was on it too long because I woke up very anxious. The next night I used it as recommended and did find I slept better. I am using it on a regular basis now and slowly increasing my time. I am looking forward to some of the other positive benefits. This pad is available at a reasonable cost. It seems to be made well and does work.

The mat seems to be thin plastic on one side and cloth maybe polyester on the other and the slippery side is supposed to be used against your body. it plugs into the ground outlets easily and snaps into the mat easily enough. The cord is very very long, so you can use it almost anywhere. It has good stitching all the way around the mat. Appears well made for a thin mat.So here’s my thing: ( not fault of mat or company)I am game to try anything that will help me and my body, but I knew nothing about grounding mats, so I read a little and found it’s suppose to be a replacement for going barefoot outdoors with little or no side effects. I used it and laid on it for about an hour. Next day again I laid on it, not sure about any effects, so I decided to do a little more research, I read about remedying it with a multimeter but I couldn’t get my multi meter to work, and am not going to buy a new one for this mat. So then I read more about EMF and having too many ground plugs when using it. So now I start to figure I have to unplug all my 3 prong appliances or I’ll get negative effects.so in the end, I don’t know if it works, because without testing the voltage , and now being ignorant about electrical currents, I am going to hold off using this Mat.So I can’t say if it’s a bad mat or a good mat, until I feel more confident about using it and more educated, I’ll have to believe the company made a good quality mat and let it go at that.

Nice grounding mat. You plug it into the ground of an electrical plug. There is no sensation that comes from it. No light to show its on either. Just wanted to try it as I’m interested in the science.

Looking to enhance my meditation and yoga practice, this grounding mat offers a nice comfy resting place for an insightful practice. Used this up for 60 mins at a time with no discomfort, or supporting pillows. Very nice and solid, where it doesn't cause me to sink or squash down in my seated position. Very nice grounding mat!

Comfortable to sit or lay on. Cord is long for reaching outlets. Setup is pretty simple and straight forward. Not used long enough to tell any longterm difference. I do still wake up numerous times at night so not seeing extended and better sleep unfortunately.
