Now I Know
I wondered how Gianni and Ellie went to school together. Now. I. Know. ❤️I’m so smitten with how all of these stories weave together.

cute baby surprise
Cute story. I really expected Nate to be different from the preview but he turned around very quickly and wouldn’t ya know it…?? He end up being the perfect guy… that’s why this is fiction. Ha ha ha. Love the sisters and will probably read their stories too.

sweet n spicy
Cute rom com with implausible plot line.. it didn't matter however, as suspended disbelief is usually a requirement.the only thing I couldn't accept was the hero vacillating and basically gas lighting her.other than that loved it.

Another amazing story
Story: 4.5 🌟Spice level - 🌶🌶Re-read/re-listen: Yes.Recommend: Yes! Pretty sure all of MH's books are this levelTroupe: Friends to lovers.Narration: 5 🌟 Lauren Enzzo and Stephen DexterStory:Well, I mean, this is a Melanie Harlow book. I think this speaks volumes in itself. It has heart, fun banter, some heavy feelings, a couple of fun schemxy moments. I really just love Melanie's way of telling a story. I also love her interconnections in her stories. They make my heart happy.Narration:I did actually read and listen to this story. I was too impatient to wait when I could listen so I stated reading it. Lol. Stephen Dexter can do no wrong. He is so good. I love his voice! Lauren Enzzo is a new to me narrator and I loved her!!! She did so well.

FRIENDS TO LOVERS MY FAVORITE READ
Nate Pearson is a divorce attorney who lives across the hall from Emme who is an event/wedding planner. I love their witty banter, how their friendship evolves, and how you can feel the tension and their connection towards one another. Although she is attracted to him, Emme feels he is off limits as they don’t have the same goals and they don’t really have much in common. I laughed and cried, and felt so many emotions when reading this book. Although skeptical about commitment, he is drawn to Elle and her warmth and caring ways. Although a bit clumsy at times (which is so funny), she is smart, focused, and driven. Nate, too is an admirable man and I like the fact that he is not right out of college and he is NOT a billionaire. So many books today are about young bad boys or billionaires and it is such a refreshing change that this book is about normal people. Well, a normal swoon-worthy leading man who has all of the characteristics that I admire most like loyalty and family values, as well as imperfections. When Nate discovers he is a father and has to take care of his two-month old daughter, he does not hesitate to take a leave of absence from work. He knows nothing about babies, and Emme is right beside him every step of the way for help and support. I like the fact that Nate doesn’t peddle his daughter off with a nanny, and that he learns how to change a diaper, bath her and care for her. I like the fact that when he fights for his rights as a father, he is respectful towards the baby’s mom, Rachel, and is not an arrogant jerk. Nate is also caring and patient with his own mother, who has mental health issues. Through these relationships, Emme begins to see a softer side to him and knows he is worth fighting for.I really value honesty and good communication and really admire how she handles herself, even when she is in pain. Nate hurts her over and over because of his commitment issues and his tragic childhood, and Emme knows what she deserves and is not afraid to speak her mind. She also knows when to back off and when to let go which is really heartbreaking.SPOILER: My only complaint about the book is that, although the ending is a happy one, I feel it ends abruptly. I wanted to read an epilogue or an extended last chapter. It may be just me, and I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but I was hoping she would have taken the job at the winery and that they relocated to be closer to his daughter. He could have easily started his own practice or joined another law office. In the book it said he and Rachel (the baby’s mom) lived three hours apart, and I can’t image sharing custody of a child with that kind of distance. I would have liked Nate and Emme to have a fresh start as she conceded to him throughout the entire book, thus the four stars instead of five.I do highly recommend this book, especially if you have enjoyed other books by Melanie Harlow as I have in the past.

Touching and Romantic
Nate will always be a bachelor. Emme will always be a star-crossed romantic. That's the way it is. Enter baby Paisley.Emme is so easy to love with her optimistic outlook on life and bubbly personality.Nate hides his hurt behind a thick shield that he has never dropped.Emme really is caring, understanding and nurturing - just what Nate needs. The growth you see in Nate as the story plays out is heart wrenching yet beautiful. This truly is a story written from the author's heart. So emotional and loving and so well done. I loved it. I really love Ms Harlow's writing style.

Bonito e emocionante!

NOT A WINNER FOR ME - 2.5 STARS
'Only You' by Melanie Harlow was a mixed bag for me. I've read several MH books before and enjoyed the romantic themes, but this one just didn't do it for me, I'm afraid. It lost me somewhat early on with a couple of scenes I felt were contrived (e.g. a baby at the door). The things I liked:1. Overall, a fun, light and easy read.2. Dialogue and banter.3. The attraction between the two MCs was luscious. 4. Emme was likable and a baby is always sweet. The things I didn't like so much:1. There were a lot of characters - are they to feature in future book? They took the focus away from the plot and the flow was interrupted.2. I found it difficult to invest emotionally with the narrative as it came across as shallow at times (although some scenes were warm and cute) and the MCs lacked depth. Nate was harder to connect with, except for a few scenes, e.g. his memories about his brother.3. My impression on downloading the book was romance/drama, but it was more of a romp, and that's fine, if that's what I'm expecting.4. The inner voice reflections and ponderings were a little OTT and dull (e.g. Nate's first one went on for a long time and referred to things I doubt guys really care about, like decor).'Only You' wasn't a winner for me. I acknowledge that other reviewers loved the book, so this is just my opinion. I will definitely download another MH in the future as I've liked/loved her previous work.

Friends and neighbors to lovers
Another swoon worthy Friends to lovers story from Melanie Harlow. Nate and Emme live across from each other but they couldn't be more different. Emme is looking for Mr Right, Nate is happy with various Miss Right Now's. He's also quite happy to bail Emme out of trouble on a frequent basis, until one night when he needs her help. Nate Pearson doesn't ask /anyone/ for help.....until a baby gets dropped on his doorstep! This really is a story of change, how Nate and Emme see each other and their perceptions of how their lives should unfold, particularly Nate and how events in his younger years have effected him.And reading Nates's interactions with little Paisley....awww. And he totally fainted!!!

Loved it
Oh Emme is adorable and her little accidents they are hilarious . Nate is a gorgeous out together guy until he finds a baby on his door that turns out to be his. He is a closed off man with a fear of getting to close to others because he doesn't want to care too much for anyone for fear of losing them and so although he's undeniable attraction to Emme he keeps pushing her away . But he ends up redeeming himself at the end.
