This help seal my boots which had been getting a bit soggy this winter, but it did not repel stains from salt what so ever.

Used it on white Vans and also the black and white checkered. Works great. I applied 3 coats, and could tell by third coat it was working.

follow instructions and it really works. Teen tested.

Works well and no discoloration. I recommend you hold your shoes with a glove on to apply.

I won't give it a 1star beacuse they did prove it made shoes repell water . But from my experience well didnt do so well I applied enough of the product but didn't really worked .

I am really impressed with how well this stuff repells water. I set up what I thought was a very difficult test - a pair of chinese army surplus winter work shoes made of rough canvas and rubber, think of a militarized Chuck Taylor - and found after three coats of this product that they actually did shed water as advertised. In this case, the weave of the canvas was loose enough that some water could get a purchase and seep in, but on any other canvas shoe I would imagine this stuff would work a treat. I would want to apply it to a brand new shoe though, not sure how well this stuff washes out of fabric if you need to clean it.

I have been using this on my sneakers and leather shoes whole summer. It works most of the times and has saved my shoes from dust and water several times. It basically creates a waterproof and dustproof layer for at least a couple of days when sprayed properly. The times when it did not work as well were probably the times when I made mistakes applying it because the shoes need a healthy dose of this spray to actually create a waterproof/dustproof layer. It does seem a little expensive considering the size ($22 for 200ml as I write this review). I would definitely keep buying this if it were, maybe, $10 a bottle.

Like a dollar store type spray bottle. The one I got was even worse though... Didn’t spray at all. Had to empty a windex bottle and pour this into the windex bottle to apply it…

I would have never ordered a water repellent online, but I had looked in town and no one had any. So I ordered this product that cost an arm and a leg in comparison to what I have paid off the shelf previously. It is more difficult to apply than a spray can as it takes constant pumping. I cannot speak to the effectiveness of the product as it hasn't snowed since I ordered it. My boots and shoes are now ready after all the effort in finding another sprayer which I did have in the house thankfully!

I hate spray cans for protectors as they waste a lot and stink up the place if you use them indoors. The X Water & Stain Repellant has no smell and the spray nozzle works great not spraying everywhere. I only have to use about 5 or 6 sprays to cover the entire boot or shoe. It will definitely last longer than the spray cans and it seems to work as even with just two coats water beads off my boots.
