The version I got is defective and the hole to put the sticks in to assembly it isn’t big enough for those sticks to fit in, and it doesn’t even come with enough bolts to assembly it all

Previously used a bamboo stick but it was hard to get parallel lines and enough definition. This rake makes a much better pattern and is easier to use.The Zen Garden has chicken grit rather than sand so it holds the pattern better and works great with rake.The handle has segments that screw together.

It worked when it lasted. But it deformed, loosened at the joint, and molded after being under the eaves for half a rain season. The wood is untreated and not outdoor grade. Putting it together was also surprisingly tricky, almost causing me to drill a new hole.

The head of the rake works perfectly. However, one should be VERY careful when handling the rake, as any lateral pressure put onto the handle extension will likely cause the connections to break. I'll be jury-rigging a repair because the rake head is very good: Just be careful when handling the rake after assembly.

It’s a lot more delicate than I thought. But not bad.
