When I got this to install it proved a bit irksome to get put in, as the outer rings that cover the vacant sign on the outside and the screw covers on the inside were really stiff to rotate out of position. I had to tap on it with a screwdriver finally to get it loose enough for it to rotate and open up. After that hurdle there was putting in the screws to connect the front and back of the handle, which was awkward since the knob has little spikes that stab into the door to hold it in place I think. Ultimately the plate did not end up perfectly flush with the door and so there are tiny gaps around the covers that aren't perfectly aligned, which was a little annoying. Once it was finally all installed however it worked very nicely. The vacant wheel turns smoothly and aligns precisely, and the keyless entry makes it easily possible for management to unlock if needed. It feels pleasant and professional to use and the customers seem to like it, so well worth the few minutes of installation troubles.

Unlike similar products, this lever is adjustable and can be mounted on wood or metal doors with thickness ranging from 1-3/8 inches to 2 inches, with a backset of 2-3/8 to 2-3/4 inches. The installation process was straightforward, thanks to the comprehensice package that includes everything needed. However, for novices, I'd recommend watching a tutorial video beforehand. While it does take some extra time to install and is heavier than standard knobs, it's well-made and solid. The handle can be installed for either right- or left- handed use. Operating the lever to lock and unlock is effortless. I appreciate how easy it is to open with just an elbow or finger, sparing me the need to free up my hands. Though it requires a reasonable amount of pressure, it feels stable to push. The secure push-button lock clicks reassuringly, and it can be unlocked from the outside using any narrow item, like a dime, which fits into the straight groove on the lever. The silver color blends seamlessly with any decor, exuding an elegant yet understated charm. Its versatile style complements most settings. Furthermore, it's sturdy and durable, giving me confidence that it will last for years to come.

So, I got this thinking I could use it on my existing door, as is, but I can't. I'm still giving it 5/5 for a few reasons. First, I LOVE that the vacant or in use signs are so bright and easily seen. Like, you definitely know if the bathroom is in use. Secondly, the handle and parts are all so heavy, sturdy feeling that it gives me a sense of security that the parts aren't flimsy or easily broken. I can't speak to durability, but the feel of the parts in hand, and as I inspected the set, I got the impression this would last a long time. I'm going to give it to a friend whose business has a door that is ready for this exact thing.

Installed 8 of these in our venue. Within a month, only 5 were still working. Others stick to the wrong indicator (in use while unlocked) while others stop working altogether. One is even in the locked position with no ability to get it unlocked.
