Fabulous machine, value for money
Fabulous machine! Iβm not much of a sewer but wanted a half decent machine for my paper crafting (donβt ask)!! It was actually cheaper to buy this machine than to get my motherβs old machine serviced and cleaned! Itβs a lovely machine with enough stitch choices to keep me happy. Itβs quiet in use and very easy to thread up and fill the bobbin. On the whole I think itβs the best machine I have used in a very long time and at a great price! The only downside is not having a cover or case to put it in, but for a budget machine I can live with that! I have even managed to sew a cover for it using fat quarters woo hoo!! Definitely recommend this fabulous little lightweight machine!

Fantastic Machine - So Easy To Use - Great Value
After purchasing a very basic and cheap (Β£30) machine from Amazon, which turned out to be little more than a toy, and then one that cost roughly Β£60 with 12 stitch types (you know the one!!) which also turned out to be useless and infuriating to use I decided to purchase this BrotherThis is the cheapest, known brand, sewing machine you can buy but itβs simply fantastic. It just works and works very well indeedNo more constantly breaking needles and thread like the other two machines. You just thread it up, which is simplicity itself, and off you goI think for just Β£85, for a well respected brand like Brother, it is an absolute bargain. Also bare in mind that you get a 3 year warranty with this machineI cannot recommend it enough. All the reviews are spot on with this machineItβs also very quiet and can sew very slowly if required but can go like the clappers when you need to!As most of the other reviews have already said itβs a great machine and you just canβt go wrongI really wouldnβt waste your money on any of the cheap βminiβ sewing machines as they will infuriate you with how bad they really are, and sewing is supposed to be funTotally and utterly 100% recommend this Brother sewing machine. Iβm massively impressed and enjoying every minute using itUPDATE: Iβve now been using this lovely machine quite extensively repairing and altering loads of things and itβs been working fantastic. Not once have I had broken thread or needles. The only tiny thing I did notice is that you need to allow enough upper thread so when you start sewing it doesnβt pull through the needle, apart from that itβs a little wonder!!UPDATE 2: I have been using this Brother sewing machine for lots of different sewing projects and itβs been absolutely fantastic. Not once have I had a broken thread or needle. It just works and works very well indeed. Itβs a complete bargain for such a great machine from a great companyUPDATE 3: Please do not waste your money on the, so called, mini sewing machines from China. I tried a couple of them and they are just so frustrating to use and will probably put you off sewing for life. This is THE cheapest, known brand, sewing machine you can buy. The fact that it also has a 3 year warranty makes it a no brainier in my viewUPDATE 4:I thought I had a faulty machineβ¦ oops! I read the instruction manual and thought that you could rotate the stitch selection knob all the way, 360 degrees, but discovered that actually you rotate it from stitch 1 through to stitch 14 and then back again (right to left & left to right)β¦ hope that makes sense; the knob doesnβt rotate all the way round (360 degrees)UPDATE 5:This Brother sewing machine is still impressing me! Itβs so easy to use and just sews so well. A totally brilliant machine. Please donβt bother with the βcheapβ toy machines from China as you will never be happy with them. Save up a little bit and buy this Brother sewing machine, itβs a real bargain for such a great machine

Class act
I bought this as a gift for a junior school class. They were keen to learn to sew. It's cheap but it works well and easy to thread etc. It was a bit light compared to my own which is older and has heft behind it. I had to stop some of the boys from leaning against it. For a first time sewing machine its good value for money and a great gift for a young person starting out.

Very impressed
Bought for a sewing project I'm doing, a little tricky to set the thread up but once I'd got the hang of it there's no stopping me, the foot pedal works very well not much pressure needed, i like the different stich settings it has, its very light to carry around, hopefully it will last me a long time, a good sewing machine for the price

Useful and fairly easy to use π
Iβve never owned or used a sewing machine before .. 60 year old bloke.. got frustrated with a few things I felt I could mend or make that would require me going in search of someone who could do the jobs. Took the plunge and bought the brother.. watched a few tutorials on YouTube and have managed to master setting it up and fixing a few pretty simple things including a canvas fishing chair Iβve had for 46 years! .. replaced some worn out Velcro on some bags.. etc.. not sure Iβm ready for anything advanced but itβs a useful thing to have around π
