It worked fine

I skipped the GM part for this to save money and for fast shipping time. The OEM part failed at 70K miles, so why not opt for aftermarket. The build quality appeared excellent. The installation for this item is major work, but after “done and done” and months later driving in the Arkansas heat it’s been perfect. After installing the Cadillac went crazy with trouble lights on the dash and doing weird things on first start. The parking brake was actually seized up/on and I didn’t have it on. The car wouldn’t even move. All of that from replacing a thermostat! I unhooked the battery and back and everything was fine. These cars lose their freakin minds after any repair and cutting the power clears it up usually. Don’t do this time consuming repair without also replacing the temp sensor while access is easy, intake is off. Cheap insurance.
