Dark Matter

Studio album No12 and it's another mighty fine piece of musical excellence. Ten is still Pearl Jam's best imo, closely followed by Vs. Vitology and No Code maintained the mystique and confirmed that here was a band that could not/should not be pigeon holed. Yield is brilliant aswell. I feel they slid into mainstream rock music thereafter all be it rock music at the very top of the table. I think it's time for me to accept that Pearl Jam probably can't match the majesty of Ten again and Dark Matter is another gem but not a diamond.Great production by Andrew Watt who also contributed to some of the tracks with his outstanding guitar work.

I bought this cd a few months ago because i needed to up my PJ game!! I was lucky enough to get to see them this summer in Dublin.. They were Amazing!! I havent bought one of their albums in years and was worried i would not know any of the songs they were going to perform.. This album arrived 2 days before the gig and i listened to it 3 times start to finish.And was Hooked..Track 1 Scared of Fear is a really good opening song.tracks Dark matter, Won't tell and Running are my favourites. It Really is a Great sounding album..not a bad track on it in my opinion!! worth every cent.. also Eddie vedders voice is still as good live as this studio album. Pearl Jam Still ROCK

Most albums by any artist I listen to solid for a couple weeks then probably never go back to again. Pearl Jam albums are an exception for me, they always contain hooks and depth that make me go back. This latest album from PJ could be one of their best for years. It seems to bring together their amazing live quality with elements of all their different studio albums over the years to give just a perfect PJ album.Standout tracks for me are Wreckage and Upper Hand which could be two of their best ever, but really there is no filler on this album. I can see this one becoming a classic, but time will tell of course.

great cd

I do find it amusing that after their huge break onto the scene with 10, they VS and Vitology that people seemed to go off Pearl Jam. I was excited to see a hew album out and when I listened to it came to the conclusion that it was indeed another great album by Pearl Jam.I don't have a favourite track but prefer to sink into the album glory in the musicianship and lose myself in Vedders voice.All in all another great album.

I agree the price is steep for a CD, as a CD buyer I am used to this having purchased CD's from other artists, and yes it is not the easiest to extract the CD itself from the sleeve.Now the music, I really like the album a natural progression from GIGATON and quite heavy at times, really well recorded and the individuals are on top form and very talented individuals.A great album that I would recommend to all Pearl Jam fans and music fans in general.
