Less expensive than the big box stores and just as good if not better. This went on very easily and had several plates to accommodate different types of receptacles. I like the box to open up and it was easy to pull the plastic pin and change it from side hinge to a top hinge to be able to open it upwards. They seem to be high quality and looks great so far.

I’ve been rehabing a cinderblock house in Mexico and my overwhelming perception is, electrical building codes are not JUST about fire, the fact that a building won’t burn does not throw the code book out the window! Especially exterior! Anyway, I like these covers a lot, easy to install using existing mount, don’t have to take any screws all the way out nor disconnect any wires. The gasket is nice and thick, seals well against irregular surfaces like stucco and is versatile, can be mounted vertically or horizontally. And I love how it protects things that are left plugged-in (which the more common types don’t do at all.) Toss in its very reasonable price point and you’ve got a clear winner! I’m going to put them on all of the exterior outlets — they’re going to have something plugged-in sometime, they should always be protected!

This product is better than the builders grade so far no moisture has gotten through it . Would definitely buy again.

I can't say how this will last over time, but it appears good quality. I also bought the Leviton, which seemed better quality, but this has a much narrower base and I had location with little extra room around the outlet. My one knock on this product, and thus the one star off, is that the foam could be a little thicker. The Leviton had a slighter thicker foam and I think would seal off the base better.

I had this installed a few days ago, the electrician struggled a bit with the installation as it was replacing a very old outlet cover, but he managed to solve the issue. It seems sturdy enough, and it has a gap for the wire so the lid remains closed even when I have something plugged in. The old cover had to stay open as it did not have such a gap.
