I wanted something to help keep me in shape all year round without going to a gym in winter. Rowing seemed the best answer for me. What I like about the H015 is the additional exercises you can do off the back of the machine. I read pretty much all of the reviews and chose this unit because of customer imput. To start, the product is extremely well packaged to protect it in transit. The hardware kit is blister packed on a card with corresponding part numbers. Taking my time it took just over an hour to assemble. When I first got on it, I set the tension to 8. It seemed pretty easy and I thought I may have made a mistake purchasing it after a couple minutes of use. However, the next morning when I was going to do an actual workout, the resistance had increased. I reset the tension to 4 and was gassed after 15 minutes. The next day I only went 8 minutes. It took 6 more days to get to 30 minutes. Now I'm slowly adding tension. The operation is very smooth and very quite. The only noise or clunk that I hear is when I hit the hard stop for the seat travel going forward. The screen is very adequate for me. I'm set up in front of a TV and use the display to keep track of workout time and reps per minute. If you have to get off the machine for a couple minutes during your workout, the timer stops, and then resumes once you start rowing again. The machine folds up to reduce its footprint by half. I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to doing my morning workouts.

This is my first rowing machine, but having used PooBoo products in the past I was confident that it would meet the needs of my family in our home gym. It is very sturdy (I'm 6'1" and 230 pounds) and suits my needs well. The number of workouts available in addition to rowing are many. Such versatility in one machine is a monumental plus. I only wish that it had come with a poster or hand-held flyer showing all the exercises, but not a big deal since they are published on the Amazon page, and I can make a printout from a screenshot until we learn them all. Assembly was a bit confusing at first until I realized that the instructions were for two somewhat different models. After I realized my error following instructions (happens to me a lot), it assembled very easily with the help of another person.The most incredible aspect of this transaction was the outstanding customer service. The battery compartment cover was not found in the box or among any of the packaging. I sent an email to their customer service at 9:06 pm Eastern time and received a response by 11:20 pm. A very nice person named Anna immediately addressed the situation and within a week I received a complete replacement monitor. I only needed the battery compartment cover, but Anna really made sure I wasn't missing anything by replacing the entire monitor.This level of customer service is almost unheard of these days. It has left me very impressed with PooBoo products even more so than before and I will be purchasing more of their products in the future as our home gym grows.

OK, after 4 months of CONTINUOS use... machine is working as well as it did from day one! This machine is definitely a great purchase. No complaints. Easy to use. Adjustable friction control works great although I am almost at the highest level I just adjust my rowing speed or distance to compensate. I have recommended to 3 other people.Original Review March 15 2023- I don't really do many reviews but I feel this machine is worth it. I have only had this machine for 3 weeks but use it 3 days a week consistently. I was a runner but hips started bothering me at age 64 so I did some reading about what a good alternative would be and rowing came up over and over again. I am no expert rower...yet.. but this machine is very sturdy, made very well and has a sturdy frame. It does collapse but I have the room so I don't have to right now. The rowing is very smooth although there is a very slight clicking on the inside as you move forward and back it sounds like the mechanism locking in and out or something. Not bothersome just thought I should mention. I have used the pulley system and think it was a great idea although it will be more for the wife than myself since I lift free weights in between the rowing days. I have already referred a couple of co-workers to this machine because I think it is worth having. Great value for the price. Oh, and the customer service is awesome! I had a couple of questions and Anna got back with me within a few hours. I did look at several other machines and their reviews and this was what I believe was the best choice."

I did a fair amount of research before deciding to go with this rowing machine and I've been generally very happy with it. Customer service has been excellent quickly answering my multiple questions (thank you Anna!!) when the assembly instructions weren't immediately clear to me. The seat glides very smoothly and is comfortable to sit on, even for longer sessions. The velcro straps on the foot pedal makes for quick release which is appreciated. The pull ropes for standing exercise are fine for basic stretching, but don't expect this device to replace a traditional weight set if you are looking to build serious muscles as you can't make the tension/weight setting replicate heavy metal weights. It uses magnetic tension rather than water, so I understand it's far quieter than water based rowers.I assembled it by myself in a reasonable amount of time. The tension dial makes for easy adjusting of easy, moderate, or more difficult rowing.If I could suggest an even stiffer upper range, I think that more experienced rowers woukd find this moderately priced home unit more to their satisfaction. I'm fairly inexperienced though and was looking for a good cardio workout at home at a reasonable price. This mid-level rowing machine met my needs without me having to pay for a much more expensive home model that could have quickly become a dust collector. I use mine every morning, and I'm quite happy with my purchase decision!
