The mask I ordered and received is of El Santo, who is probably still the most famous and important Mexican wrestler in the history of the sport. Santo is the reason why I chose this particular mask.This is the type of mask sold on the streets in Mexico near venues where wrestling shows take place, or at street fairs in Mexican-American neighborhoods. It's intended as a memento and a pretty inexpensive collectable, and fans often wear these to support their favorite wrestlers at live events. The core of the mask is soft and the outer portions are covered with fabric of different textures. It's a little tight-fitting for an adult male with a larger head. It laces up in the back with a shoelace similar to like a sneaker would, but unlike more expensive masks there is no "tongue" under the shoelace to completely close up the back of the mask.The core of the mask is well-made. The outer areas are more than a little rough and even a little sloppy around the mouth and eyes. It's unclear exactly what materials were used for the outer layers.This is exactly what I expected from this mask, and I am happy with the quality of its materials. This is not of the level of craftsmanship that a professional wrestler would require if he wore this in the ring, and this is not what a truly serious collector would seek for a collection. This is a mask that is intended to be worn by a fan, possibly as a costume or possibly at a wrestling show. I knew what I was getting when I ordered this mask.To me, masks like this are as much a part of folkloric Mexican street art as black velvet paintings and I am glad to add this one to my stash of mementos.

This mask is fun... It's fairly well made, I presume by hand, it might be a little tight for really big heads or big heads with big hair, but it should fit most adults snuggly. That is the way these masks are meant to be worn snug durring matches. I don't wrestle, but this is more of a halloween costume or character building for the cosplay events or occations. I hope to get a matching tuxedo with some fancy silver shades to go for halloween maybe this year.Overall its decent made... I'm not sure if some of the flares and horn parts are vinyl or some sort of plastic cloth, but overall it looks decent, fits well... sewing is decent... Though there usually is some strand you don't want to pull on as it might de-thread... but a little hot glue to hold that strand would hold it in, if you happen to find one.It's cheap and affordable for a decent looking luchador mask. I'm considering getting another!

I should have known better than to fall for the "Authentic Mexican Luchador!" marketing. It's a lightweight polyester mask, definitely lower-tier quality. It looks OK with the exception of some misaligned stitching on the back, but it feels very cheap. I had to put it on carefully because it felt like it might tear. It was actually a bit tricky to lace up and get it on my barely-medium sized head.2.5/5 stars. I love the kitch, but I don't think I'd order it again -- certainly not at the current $16 price. It feels more like a $5-$10 costume mask at best.

If you are known to have a large head. steer away. anyone else? step right up this the the mask for you. I still wear it but the face holes dont line up with my anatomy. still fun to play with the kids with.

My boyfriend loves masks. He's a little bit of a freak. If you know what I mean so I knew he'd love this as soon as I saw it and of course he did. He's very happy with it. I think he actually went online and bought a few other ones of the same collection that's how much he liked them. They. seem pretty well made. The material inside the mask is a little rough if you ask me, but that's just my opinion and I personally felt a little claustrophobic inside of it, but I'm not really much of a mask wearer.At the end of the day, the freaky boyfriend I bought this for, loved it and that's all that matters. I'm sure you'll love it too if This is your kind of thing.The colors are just as pictured on the screen, and it opens and closes through laces that you would lace along the backside of it down the backside of your head, in case you were wondering..
