My dogs love these and they supply many essential nutrients including omega 3's. There is a bit of a fishy smell when you open the bag and your dog will have fish breath for a few hours, but these are well worth the price and odor. They are all natural, just plain dried fish.

I have always loved these air dried Herring from Plato to give to each of my dogs, one per day, every day, for a 100% natural Omega-3 supplement. Our dogs (2 GSD's and 1 Chihuahua) LOVE them! I'm a retired Dog Behaviorist & Trainer but I still board dogs in my home, so, I also offer them as a daily treat to the dogs who board with me (provided their owners approve). Some dogs love them others won't touch them, lol. That's okay. It doesn't mean they're spoiled or bad, it just means some dogs like them and some don't. I've been an angler all of my life and am also an amateur ichthyologist, so the smell doesn't bother me. I wouldn't rub it on my wrists and necks as perfume but it doesn't bother me. Now, here's why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars: As pricey as these are, I expect to get Herring when I order Herring. I order Herring because they have slightly more Omega-3's than Sprat. But, this time, instead of receiving the Herring I ordered, I got a bag full of Sprat with 5 Herring among them. The bag says Herring but it is full of Sprat. Nope, these aren't juvenile Herring, they are Sprat. Trust me, I know the anatomical differences. So, Plato Pet Treat Co., please do this loyal customer of your's a favor and either let the Baltic fishermen know they're segregating them incorrectly, or the N. European company that air dries them know they are segregating them incorrectly, or, if the formers aren't at fault, then please tell your packers in Fresno they need to check & segregate them correctly. Other than that, this is one happy customer!

My dogs LOVE these - 40lb dog gets 2/day - 65lb dog gets 3/day. Great high-reward treat!
