A good unit to buy - Does what it claims and excellent support from OREI!
I bought this unit to make up for the shortcomings in both my TV (a 2022 model Samsung "The Frame" 55") and my Logitech Astro A50 X (has a 2-port HDMI 2.1 switch that is provably faulty, unfortunately). When I first received the BK-402A, it worked flawlessly with my Xbox Series X but not with my PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the shipped firmward on my unit was not compatible/working with the PS5 and its strict HDCP 2.3 configuration. The unit refused to send a picture to my TV. Now comes what I think is the best part: OREI technical support. It is strictly via email but their team is responsive. There is a bit of a time lag but patience will bear positive results if you contact them. I explained my issue in detail, going so far as to buy a cheap-but-well-reviewed competitor switch (not matrix) device as well as replacing my HDMI 2.1 (UNCERTIFIED) cables with cables that have the HDMI.org certification tag on their packaging. With a full explanation provided, the OREI support team worked with their "technical team" and ultimately sent me a firmware upgrade that proved to be the solution! NOTE: The upgrade process does require a PC but is documented for easy processing As for the product itself: Metal casing = premium look-and-feel. Port options are plentiful. The 2-port output option might come in handy one day, which is why I opted for the matrix instead of a standard switch. (See OREI's excellent Youtube video that explains what an HDMI Splitter vs HDMI Switch vs HDMI Matrix are, if you aren't aware.) Thank you, OREI team for producing an excellent product and then also proving that you really do stand behind your products with excellent technical support. You have earned a return customer and I will be recommending your products to friends-and-family. :)

Good quality splitter
Used for my theater/ sports basement. This splits the signal for three TV's and looks great. Good audo to the primary TV which is connected to my sound bar.

Great HDMI 2.1 Performance, Minor Reset Needed with Older Consoles
I’ve been using the OREI 8K 4x1 HDMI 2.1 Switch with a PS5, Xbox One (Gen 1), and Nintendo Switch (Gen 1), and overall it works very well—especially for high-bandwidth devices. Pros: • Handles 4K @ 120Hz flawlessly on PS5 • Picture quality is excellent with no noticeable lag or degradation • Solid build quality and feels reliable once locked onto a signal • A great way to avoid constantly swapping HDMI cables Cons: • When switching from PS5 to Xbox One Gen 1 or Nintendo Switch Gen 1, I sometimes have to manually reset the switcher for it to recognize the signal properly • Automatic input detection isn’t always seamless across mixed-generation consoles Overall: If you’re running modern consoles like the PS5 and want HDMI 2.1 support, this switch is a strong performer. Just be aware that with older consoles, an occasional manual reset may be required. Not a dealbreaker, but it keeps this from being a perfect 5-star product. Would recommend, especially if most of your devices are HDMI 2.1–capable 👍

Working with my gaming system, projector, TV, and blu-ray player.
I have this connect to a TV and projector with a PS5 and a 4k blu-ray player as inputs. I tried to also connect a digital converter for OTA channels, but that didn't work consistently. It was better to connect that directly to the TV or projector. Also, I kept my HDMI audio connection to my soundbar separate. Basically, this just allows me to switch between the PS5 or blu-ray player on either output. I could also have them all going at the same time, but I don't do that in my setup. It works well so far. I'm happy.

Great solution for Sonos Arc owners
Nothing more frustrating than trying to figure out if this soundbar does what it says it does, and reading people hooking up 4 non-soundbar inputs to the HDMI switch. Anyway... YES! If you have a Sonos Arc or other HDMI soundbar eating up a valuable HDMI 2.1 port, buying this switch will get you 3 additional video inputs (1 input needs to go to the soundbar, of course). This is what I bought it for and it appears to be working great. I've always been impressed with how well the OREI switches seem to handle HDMI signaling and this one is no exception. I'm running a 6ft input and a 12 ft output and so far the signal is completely stable at 4K 120 Hz. Minimal to no lag in testing with Hi-Fi Rush's latency check. The one thing this switch doesn't seem to do is auto switching inputs. Not great but I don't think there are any reasonable alternatives so I'll make do.

Worked at First, But Now Fails to Detect Devices
I initially had high hopes for this 4x2 HDMI switch — it worked great out of the box. But after a few weeks, it stopped detecting my Apple TVs and PS5 entirely. I’ve tested the same HDMI cables and devices directly into the TVs, and everything works perfectly, so the switch is clearly the issue. For context, I have two TVs in the same room connected to two Apple TVs, a PS5, and a Nintendo Switch. Disappointing for a device that’s supposed to simplify my setup — instead, it’s added more hassle.

I recently purchased the Orei BK-401 4 in 1 out HDMI switch, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! This device has truly transformed my home entertainment setup. First and foremost, the 8K @ 60Hz and 4K @ 120Hz support is phenomenal. The picture quality is crystal clear, and the colors are incredibly vibrant. Whether I'm watching movies, playing video games, or streaming content, the visual experience is top-notch. The ease of use is another standout feature. Switching between my devices is seamless and quick, thanks to the intuitive remote control and the auto-switching feature. I no longer have to fumble around with multiple HDMI cables or worry about which device is connected where. The build quality of the Orei BK-401 is also impressive. It's sturdy and feels durable, giving me confidence that it will last for a long time. The compact design fits perfectly into my entertainment center without taking up too much space. Overall, I highly recommend the Orei BK-401 HDMI switch to anyone looking to enhance their home entertainment system. It's a reliable, high-quality product that delivers exceptional performance and convenience. Five stars!

Nothing unusual behaviour when connecting hdmi sources to my 4K TV via this device. Switch smoothly among sources, come with remote control anyway.

Build quality is fine it’s worked fine with my blu ray player and cable box out putting to my tv or projector when needed. But I ran into issues with Xbox series x and ps5 often need a power cycle, I gave a number of different hdmi cables a try including optical ones no difference. And while playing gran tourismo picture would for a second of 2 get pixely I’m nit sure how really to describe it. There really is a market for some thing like this I just wished it worked always. It’s worth the price tag as do me it would save me form switching hdmi cables between, my atmos processor, projector and tv maybe a firmware upgrade will fix these issues
