I have multiple lines of micro irrigation with a mixture of 1x, 2x and 4x versions of these valves at distances up to 100m from the house. With the base unit in the roof it connects reliably with these, despite the distance. ZigBee shares the same radio frequencies as WiFi so I have adjusted our WiFi routers to leave channels 1 to 4 clear and then used the LinkTap app to make it use the lowest ZigBee channel in that vacated gap in the spectrum. This definitely helps. The valves are well engineered, robust and easy to install. I took one apart to modify it to switch a pump on/off and I was impressed with the quality of the innards. They don't eat batteries, after a year of intermittent use mine still show 100% battery level. The fact that they report water flow is invaluable since you quickly learn what to expect and can go and investigate if something is not flowing as expected. Don't economise by getting the unmetered single channel one. The App which controls them works, albeit with a few glitches, but it is a bit clunky and it is clear that they have spent the money on hardware rather than software. It would be much easier to use were there a PC / Mac version as there is too much data for a small screen. But it is good enough. Overall very pleased and am expanding the system. We might even be able to go on hols in dry weather...

After recent landscaping, took the opportunity to run 4 hoses around the garden hooked up to 4 sprinklers, running them back to my exterior tap so needed a 4-way manifold and researched smart/app based ones - settled on this after a friend recommended the brand. This LinkTap device has really impressed and exceeded expectation to be honest. It has just worked brilliantly. No leaks, no disconnections, no problems. Functionality of the app is good - although I would say the UI could do with a bit of improving, it can be a little hard to follow and understand - but all the key information is there and once you learn the app quirks it's easy enough. The automated option to skip a water session if it has rained, or rain is expected works very well too. Probably a little expensive - but you get what you pay for in this case!

This is my second purchase from LinkTap and I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a smart, efficient and reliable irrigation system. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the hardware, as well as the accompanying app, down to the way it is being boxed/packaged. Installation instructions are clear and there are also supporting videos on YouTube if needed. Spare parts and additional accessories are available to purchase directly on their website or through Amazon (although the full range doesn’t seem to be on Amazon), which is a great selling point compared to other systems. On the topic of customer service (yes, they have one!) I have experienced a small issue with the Q1 system (cable/plug not matching). The speed of response and the quality of the support I have received was second to none (thank you Jack!). In summary, the system is offering great range and functionalities, is user friendly, has spare parts and accessories available and is supported by great customer service - I don’t think anyone could ask for more.

Pricey but a great bit of kit. The app is easy to use and reliable, the item hardware is top notch. Very happy

I bought the Linktap a few year back since I bought several more as my water pressure is not enough to drive more than one sprinkler at a time. Batteries last several years and the furthest linktap from the gateway is about 25m and still have a signal level of 70%. One thing I noticed the signal level drops by quite a lot of the gateway is placed flat whereas of if placed standing the signal level is about twice as strong must have to do with the antennae orientation

Meine Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Die Installation war einfach und hat sofort funktioniert. Die Einstellmöglichkeiten über die App sind sehr umfangreich, jedoch intuitiv leicht zu bedienen. Die Darstellung des Wasserverbrauchs je Kanal und Tag ist sehr übersichtlich. Sinnvolle Benachrichtigungen zeigen aktuelle Aktivitäten.

Système très efficace, le suivi de la consommation d'eau permet très facilement de vérifier si l'installation ne fuit pas. L'application est très complète et se paramètre facilement, beaucoup de réglages étant pas défaut correctement programmés. Le produit est cher mais à mon sens un des meilleurs de ce que j'ai regardé. L'équipe technique répond très rapidement aux mails.

Been using LinkTap products for a few years now (since 2019) and this unit makes setting up after winter much easier. Originally, I had a system where I used 10 single port LinkTaps to water my lawn. I set up 5 zones in the front yard and 5 zones in the back yard. As one can imagine, this made winterizing the system very time consuming. Additionally, the 10 LinkTaps required 40 AA batteries, two 4 way hose splitters, and 2 2 way hose splitters. Now I have two of the Q1s and 2 single port LinkTaps which only require 8 AA and 4 9v batteries and 2 2 way splitters. This setup significantly reduces chances for a leak in the system and the number of batteries I will have to purchase in the future. These Q1s seem to built with the same high quality that the earlier G1 and G2 models I have been using and I really like the instant on/off manual button on the control unit.

While the app isn't polished like most, and the interface can be a bit tricky to navigate through - once you spend some time and learn it, it's the fullest featured application I've seen for automated watering ANYWHERE. The products themselves seem solid, and very well built - and the applications JUST WORK! Biggest benefits -- Individual flow / zone usage monitoring w/o having to purchase individual sending flow-sensor units, which are often expensive. The wireless is solid and connects easily and configuration / linking was also very straightforward. NOTHING but praise (well, aside from what appears to be a somewhat antiquated UX in the app -- easily forgiven - given the rich features that come out of the box. I can now very easily see water use/flow rates by zone on a nice easy to read report - including costs... automatic rain skip (configurable by prediction amount, and other factors) -- all the things you'd expect. Only two things would make this better. 1 - connection / support for Apple Homekit (yep, I eat the apple sauce). 2 - a more modern ux for the app. Neither are really an issue for me though. Can't recommend these products enough.
