It's hard and firm pillow, need time adjustment, but it is good.
This is the 2nd time I bought it. This time I got a larger pillow (20x26), as the first one I got was a little small, and want to get a bigger. This time, DH said it's too big, and I agree. Maybe next time, I will get the medium size. So I am using it instead. If you always use a soft feather pillow, then this pillow hardness will be very hard to sleep on. My old pillow is a firm cushion, but I would say that this pillow is hard and hardly any give. It take me about 2 weeks to get used to it. The pillow is too big and the husk shift places when ever I move it. My first week result in a lot of neck pain. Once I get the husk to move where it should be, it's a lot easier and comfortable. The first month is trial and error, as I move my sleep position all the time. Because the husk move, I can adjust it to where it should be, either pile it higher, or spread it lower. I use this for 4 months, now I can safely review it to say it is a good pillow, stay very firm, and I sleep better. You just need to give it time, at least 2 to 3 weeks, if you are not use to the hardness. Other points to note: This is also a pretty heavy pillow, when compared to other foam or feather pillow.

Great first time buckwheat hull pillow
This is my third buckwheat hull pillow and second from Lofe. This pillow has an internal baffle, basically some fabric connecting inside to kind of create 3 "tubes" which help the pillow retain its shape. My first Lofe pillow was the standard queen which I absolutely love. I find the baffle in this pillow helps it keep its shape more than the standard. This may be an advantage for someone who hasn't used a buckwheat pillow before. Initially they can seem jarring compared to a traditional pillow. This pillow is also less noisy than the standard, however after years of using them it doesn't bother me in either case. The quality of the item is excellent with a nice pillow case that includes a solid zipper. The zipper sits into a little pocket that keeps the hulls sealed inside the case. I still prefer the standard queen version without baffle because I find it easier to shape and support my neck. I will probably continue to use that one. That being said, the baffle version is excellent and I would still recommend it to someone interested in a buckwheat pillow that hasn't used one before.

Great for almost everything
I had already purchased a smaller version of the buckwheat pillow and really liked how easy it is to mold, so I was excited to check out the larger version. It’s been awesome as a leg pillow and propping up for back support on the couch, and it’s big enough for two people to use. I’ve even used it as a meditation pillow and it was a great size and shape for that too. It’s a huge help with my typical back pain, and I don’t think I can go back to non- buckwheat pillows after adjusting to these.

Buckwheat pillow
A little rigid for my taste

I returned this product
I returned the product as it was way to huge for my liking, moreover the buckwheat was very loose and spread out, I would like the buckwheat to be tightly fitted within the stitches that run across which was not the case and that didn't help resting my neck / head, other than that the quality of manufacturing is fantastic

Gamechanger
I got this pillow after falling in love with them in Japan. I did not understand these pillows at first because they were hard, made noise and the idea that they were full of pieces of plastic made me think of a bean-bag chair. By the end of the trip I fell in love with it and got one when I got home. Now I have 2 (different brands and I like THIS ONE) better. This pillow is amazing because it moulds to you. For example, when sleeping sideways the pilllow will support the neck, but is then lower where the head is. On a normal pillow I always have a gap at the neck or have to stuff the pillow under, or it gets flat after a while. This pillow doesn't do that. You can make the pellets shift anywhere and they stay because the pillow is firm. I keep a down pillow next to me if I miss the fluffiness or to just hug, but this one is responsible for sleeping. When I get up my neck is less stiff. People complain about the noise. Yes, it does make a slight crunchy sound when you move, but that only happens when you do it, so it is not a big deal. The pillow is much heavier than a traditional pillow. I would take it everywhere if it was lighter. It is much cooler than any other pillow I have and I have like 3 different kinds including one of those that supposedly stays cool, which is probably memory foam. This buckwheat pillow is better than the other one of similar price on Amazon (Zen Chi) because the other one feels like it has less filling for it's size so it feels floppier. This one also has ridges so the pillow keeps its shape better than the other option. And last, tihs is a nice company. I got a note when I received my pillow.

Very similar to the ones in Japan
Traveled to Japan in 2024 and stayed at hotels that had buckwheat-filled pillows, so I wanted to get one. The ones in Japan had some polyfill padding on one side of the pillow to dampen the crunchy noises the pillow makes. For side-sleepers who need support, this pillow provides that and is very firm. I did buy a zippered pillow cover to provide some softness against my head.

Great price and Excellent Quality. Remember proper maintenance is key for buckwheat pillows.
Excellent quality and provides great support. I would recommend taking out the husk inside and allowing it to sun dry over a 24-48 hour period. Do not leave outside as birds can eat the husk instead put under a sunny window preferrably next to a open window with breeze. While the husk is airing out, take the empty pillowcase and hand wash it and set if for line dry in a sunny and windy region of your home. You want to repeat this process every six months.
