These were the perfect gift for my wife. She had been using large cans of beans and found them awkward to hold. These are perfect and we can now eat the beans.

I hadn't "worked out" in years but needed to get healthy again after surgery and a health scare.My doctor recommended a combo of weights and walking.These weights are perfect.Easy to grip and maintain it during your exercise routine.Arrived quickly, nicely packaged with each weight individually wrapped in plastic.When it was time to increase the weight amount, I ordered the same ones, only heavier.ATTENTION: If you're a beginner and not sure how many pounds to get I recommend going with the lighter choice.Five(5) pounds doesn't sound heavy but they are!Three(3) pounds will give you good workout.Go even lighter if you're elderly or not used to exercising. Remember, they come in a pair so the weight doubles.

I did a job on my shoulder that requires physical therapy. Surprisingly, I couldn't find this size weight at Sports Authority so I went to trusty old Amazon to find them.There isn't much you can say about a small dumbbell, but I do like that they're coated with neoprene to protect them from the elements and to make them easy to grip. I live in S. Florida and do my workout and stretching outside. The high humidity here has definitely coated my iron weights with a patina of rust where the paint has worn off. The Da Vinci weights are coated with neoprene and will be unaffected by the outside humidity unless the covering is compromised. Since the covering is thick, I don't expect that to happen.It anyone is wondering how the neoprene feels in sweaty hands, the good news is that they're textured and easy to grip whether your hands are moist or dry.I'm very pleased with mine. My only gripe is a bit picayune. They only come in pink, which makes me feel like a bit of a wimp when I use them. On the other hand, I also ordered two and three pound weights which came in purple and green respectively. I think pink is a standard color for one pound weights as my physical therapists has these from a different company and they, too, are the same color as mine.If you need a small weight for exercise or PT, definitely put the Da Vinci Neoprene Dumbbells on your short list.

These work for me, but beware that they are for small hands. I'm a small person and if my hands were larger I would not be able to curl my hand around the quite short bar. It's only about 3-1/4" long. They don't roll and the cushioning material is comfortable. Can't comment on how well the cushion will hold up.

I had the 3 lb and 4 lb weights from this company and liked them. After researching 5 lb weights from other companies, I decided to stick with what I was satisfied with and also ordered the 5 lb weights from Da Vinci. I am very happy with them, however, one weight is slightly heavier than the other but it's not a problem. I just alternate them each time I use them and the difference is not significant. Overall, this company makes a great product for my purposes and I'm glad I bought them.

I broke my wrist when I fell down a flight of stairs. I used the dumbbell in my therapy sessions to gain back the strength in my wrist. I purchased this 1-pound dumbbell to start with. I eventually purchased the 2, 3, 4, and 5 pound dumbbells. The dumbbells were extremely helpful in speeding up my recovery. I still use the 5-pound dumbbell as part of my fitness regimen. The dumbbells feel comfortable in my hand. This was such a smart purchase and Amazon is very reliable in shipping my orders quickly. Thank you Amazon!!

I love these! I have 3lb weights, but I also have fibromyalgia. I didn't think the 3 pounders would be a problem, but they caused a flare. Good thing I only need light weights to tone up. These are exceptionally comfy in your hands. The neoprene it's high quality - no tears, or rubbed off parts. This is a great deal!

I bought these for my Mom, who was in a wheelchair and going through physical therapy to keep her muscles flexible.The therapist had been using other things, but when I ordered these, they turned out to be "just what the doctor ordered"Funny thing is, now the facility is ordering them for many of the residents (and the women seem to love the bright pink). Well worth the cost if you ask me.
