Good shoes
Happy with these. Fit is true to size. Lots of room for toes. Comfortable.

Fantastic shoes, the white/gray look much better in person
Fantastic shoes. Zero drop, very comfortable and lightweight. The listing pics for the white/grey are way off, they look much better in person.

Great running shoes for dry weather.
Overall, these Altra Escalante running shoes performed quite well. The light weight really lends to less fatigue as well as the comfortable toe box area, which has some stretch as well. Easily handled the natural swelling of the feet after prolonged activity. I dropped a star due to the traction issue. On dry pavement, it worked great, however the moment the ground gets wet, I had to slowdown and tread carefully as i noticed slippage. I don't feel very confident when running during a light rain or on wet surfaces. I will also note that it did take a little breaking in period because of the zero-drop nature. My calves were getting more of a work out while acclimating to the shoe.

Comfortable all around shoe
Shoes arrived as promised. Suggested to order 1/2 size larger and this proved to be a true fit. Loved the wide toe box and natural feel. Sufficient padding is provided for a comfortable walk/run. Prefer this model to Torin 7 which has a much cushier sole, too much for me.

Life-Changing Shoe Find!
These are the best shoes I have ever worn! They are so light that it feels like you are barefoot (back when that felt good, like at 10 years old!) with more support. I am a women's 10.5 but prefer the naturally wider fit of a men's 10. I find that I stumble less often. My chronic back and hip pain improved within a couple of weeks. These give you the best of a barefoot shoe's natural stride but also accommodate my orthotics. Glad I found you! These shoes have been life changing for me (69-year-old, active arthritic). I am happier in these than my Birks...that says a lot!

Perfect fit, comfortable, not durable
These are great shoes, but don't hold up more than a year with the tongue of the shoe starting to fall off and the sole gets warn down pretty quickly

These are pretty good :D
These are phenomenal, haven’t run in them yet but they are true to size, just like the picture and incredibly comfy ( I only wear wide toe box ) the space for my toes is just right, ** I love a super wide toe box ** colors beautiful. We will see how they run.

Light, Comfortable, Breathable, Good For Walking, and Look Good Too.
I only have a few miles of walking on these, but I like them so far. I am heavier at 6', 230 and usually walk 5 miles per day, broken up into shorter distances (usually no more than a mile at a time.) My right foot is wider than my left, and my pinky toe is often problematic. It does rub a bit in these shoes (left foot if perfect). I find that as I use them, and once I get walking, they seem to work fine, I don't have any pain after walking. My right pinky toe issue is my problem and does not have anything to do with the shoes themselves. Maybe I need an extra wide shoe on my right foot. These shoes are very light, seem to breathe really well, and I like the way they look; understated, a bit sporty, but no over-the-top graphics. They are very nice when I am in motion, but would not be comfortable to stand around in all day (but if you were light in weight, they might be fine.) I don't expect them to last a long time (for me most modern shoes are shot at 300-500 miles). If I can get that much out of them, I will be happy.
