Great portable monitor with excellent picture and versatile mounting options
I bought this monitor to mount on my recumbent stationary bike so I can watch shows while exercising. The screen size is perfect for my need. I am glad the versatile mounting options which comes with this monitor - I was able to mount the monitor securely above my recumbent bike. The picture quality is excellent - with slight adjustment I am able to get the picture quality close to my iPad Pro. The contrast, brightness, and color fidelity is excellent on this monitor. The sound coming out of its speakers is clear and usable even though there's not much bass / much better than a cheaper monitor I had tried prior to getting this one.The connectivity is great - I am able to connect my iPhone and iPad via USB-C and the monitor can even charge my iPhone and iPad. I also connect an Apple TV to this monitor.Overall this is a versatile portable monitor with excellent picture and decent sound. Highly recommend this.

Excellent portable montior
I've had several mobile monitors that utilize DisplayLink over the years, this is my fourth so far. In the past, I started with the 14inch Lenovo LT1421, I went to 15.6 inch HP, then finally to the 14 inch HP S140u before moving to the ZenScreen. Each had their upsides but all had basically the same downside, resolution and color quality. For comparison the only one fair to benchmark the ASUS ZenScreen against (from what I've used) is the HP S140u as that is still available for sale by HP. The ZenScreen is worlds better. First off, with such thin bezels on 3 sides of the ZenScreen, you get 15.6 inches of screen instead of 14 inches of screen for almost the same total size, a huge plus. Secondly, the ZenScreen actually fits better in my bag even though it is marginally bigger overall; it is very thin for being a monitor and most important to me is the thickness is consistent across the unit. The HP had a rounded back that made it less convenient to have in my laptop bag and created a strange "bulge" when all packed up. That, plus the ZenScreen is just a bit lighter, was a win on its own.The most important factors here though are resolution and color quality. The resolution is full 1080p which is far better than what I've used in the past. There is no resizing of documents etc when you drag something over from your primary laptop monitor (granted their may be a little bit depending on the resolution of your laptop but at 1080p this is very minimal and hardly noticeable from other models, such as the HP S140u I've dealt with). I realize ASUS has other screens with 1080p but their stands before the ZenScreen are so ridiculous and non-user friendly, I always avoided them. On that point, the stand on this screen is pretty smart. Some point this out as a flaw but honestly in the mobile monitor space, no one has a perfect solution (the S140u wasn't bad as it had a similar concept, but still I think ZenScreen is superior). The stand is effectively the case that wraps around the unit and with a few simple folds, strong magnets hold it in place as a stand. There are two degree's you can have it at (at least, with the fold option I prefer - I guess there are a couple in the instructions only one of which I remember) and they seem to be all I need (I really only change the angle if I am experiencing glare); Oh, and you can also use a pen if you prefer to prop this up - I've yet to use this as the case is so quick and effective to fold, but an option none the less. As for color quality, I am not an expert on the levels etc but this screen, although the colors are a little different from my laptop, are the best I've experienced in a mobile monitor; there are settings you can play with native to the screen that allow you to adjust certain aspects which was key in getting the colors to line up pretty well. Again, not perfect compared to my laptop monitor but close enough where after the first week of using it, I didn't even noticed anymore. All in all, this monitor is easily worth the $250. In my experience, it is the best I've used and I'll use it until something eventually is more sophisticated, but I suspect this won't be for a while as this screen (compared to others I've used) seems ahead of the game.

Asus customer for the past 20 years, still happy and satisfied
I have been a loyal Asus customer for about 20 years now.YES, 20 years. They are my go to for quality performance laptops at a fair price. When searching for a portable display I was pleasantly surprised to see an Asus product available at a price comparable to a copy cat generic product.I have had zero issues with this display. My laptop immediately recognized the second display so no setup was needed.I dig the detachable kickstand and consider it a cool feature. The protective sleeve case is nice too.I highly recommend anything by Asus

Great, But With Compromises
I really like this product, there are a few things that can't be avoided with this form factor and some things that could be better regardless.First, the negative:- It's a good form factor having the screen powered and having the display delivered through one USB-C port. This is one reason why I bought this so I would only have to plug in one cord to both power and to display the screen. However, it's bad because I can't power it and display with Samsung Dex on my Galaxy S23. With some powered USB-C docks I've been able to make it work, but just with the included cable and connecting straight to my phone, it didn't work.- It's an LCD screen. I bought this thinking that it was an OLED because that was one of the specs I put into Rufus (Amazon's shopping Ai chatbot) and he recommended this one. However, seeing that it's an LCD, I almost sent it back. It is good for what it is though. I like how bright it is (it almost is as bright as my 2021 14" MacBook Pro).As for things that could be changed while keeping this form factor:- I like that it has a covering case, that's another reason why I chose this product, but the case it has doesn't seem like it's going to last. I coverers it well and is a great stand, but I am not confident it will keep from being roughed up since I keep it in my backpack and constantly pull it out. It hasn't show many signs of wear yet, but it probably will. I've only had it for less than a month.Things I like:- It has good brightness as I mentioned above- I didn't know when I bought it, but it has a 1/4-20 tripod screw mount in the back. I really like that feature, but I usually just use it with the case that folds into a stand- The protective case that folds into a stand is good for what it is. I saw some comments before I bought it that it was flimsy and couldn't hold the screen up. I have found quite the opposite. It holds it up really well and the two viewing angle options are good for whatever I need it for. I usually have it in the more upright position. The only downside about the stand function of the case is that it's usually only good on flat surfaces. While I have used it on a pillow when I'm sitting on the couch, it is a lot less sturdy than my laptop or other things would be. That's where the tripod mount on the back is useful.- I like how portable it is. As I said, I use this a lot on the go as a part of my backpack setup. I pull it out for my work laptop and for doing schoolwork all the time. If you're looking for a more permanent feature for your desk at home or something, this is a cheap option, but being portable is a negative if you want it to just always be in one spot. You can get a more robust and probably better-looking screen for the same price or less.
