Tall Sturdy and Strong
I bought this tripod because it is tall first of all for a good price too. A tripod that hight and you are looking about paying 2 times this cost. This tripod goes to about 198 cm in height and that was a big buying factor for me. The tripod is made of aluminium, titanium, and magnesium fused together which makes this tripod durable and very sturdy. This also makes the tripod weigh over 3 kg with the pan head on it. It is not a good tripod for travelling photographers who want something super light weight. The tripod is basic with its working mechanism. It does take some time to set up this tripod too. It is not that quick when you want to make adjustments. It has a center colume that you a split which I recommend to do if you are using this tripod for landscapes so you can get this tripod lower height. The Pan head is awesome. It has a smooth like fluid movement. You can also change the head of this tripod. I prefer the Pan Head on this tripod because it is smooth as butter and has a quick release which is good enough for me. I also like that this tripod has a soft grip which is nice on your hands in the winter time. I am very happy with this tripod because I know my camera has something sturdy to mount on now.

Slik
Solid rigid construction, massive height when fully extended reaches over 7 feet tall with centre column extended although you might want to keep it about half that, the unique circular quick release plate helps with quick alignment and can act as a further axis of rotation, split centre column enables very low positioning for macro work when inverted, each section of legs has a very positive and easy to use click lock, upper legs covered in foam help keep your hands from freezing in cold weather also stops bruised fingers when you get clumsy. altogether a high quality item if you are looking for a flaw then some might say its the overall weight although its not exactly back breaking you wouldn’t want to carry it for any length of time unless someone else carries your camera pack I suspect if you obtained a lightweight ball head you could use it on a days shoot but its not a problem for me and you wont find bigger or better for this price anywhere, a perfect long term tripod and one that I suspect even a pro would be happy to use.

Decent Value for Money
I bought this to replace a Slik 88 tripod that I bought in the 70s. The 700Dx does have some good points. I really liked the head; it was solid and very smooth in operation. I also liked the quick release system; it was easy to use and felt very secure. It also comes with its own bag. However, the quality of the tripod lets it down a bit. Whilst I feel the Slik offers decent value for the cost, it was not what I wanted. When opening out the legs for instance, the paint within the hinges is scraped off, and while I'm sure this would not impact on the tripod's use, it just looked a bit 'tatty'.In the end I returned the Slik to Amazon and bought a Manfrotto MT190XPRO3 which feels to be a much superior tripod, but of course it is quite a bit more expensive than the Slik, (nearly double the price with an equivalent head). If I'd of been on a budget, the Slik would certainly have done the job, I feel it is just let down by the quality of the finish.

Stable, Versatile, and Trust-worthy
This is a pricey tripod, but * well worth * the money.I use this tripod with a pair of giant 25 X 100 Celestron binoculars. This set-up is absolutely ideal for those. Although it is not possible to get to the zenith, that is not something I would expect with a tripod. The range of mobility of this tripod is outstanding. It also holds very securely a 4 kg, unevenly balanced set of binoculars. I never have any worry that it will dump them on the ground, so I can focus on the pure pleasure of viewing the night sky.The legs of the tripod have a spongy coating that is a God-send on cold nights. One can grip these without having to worry that your hands will freeze off.I have used these now a half dozen times - and I would highly recommend them for anyone with binoculars who wants range, versatility, and stability. Overall, I couldn't be happier.

Love it.
I bought this tripod through Luzern seller here on Amazon. Unfortunately it went out of stock when I ordered it but a lovely lady from the company contacted me and assured me more were on order and would I wait or cancel? I waited approx. 10 days and it arrived. I also received other correspondence from the lady in between delivery confirming that the price agreed would be the price I would pay. I have now had an opportunity to use the tripod and I love it. As others have said, it is tall and it is a weighty bit of kit but that all adds up to a stable and robust bit of kit. I preferred a ball-head mount for my photography so I have replaced the video head it came with but that's me just being picky. All in all, a great addition to my photographic kit.

Very nice combination: quality and price
If you are looking for a tripod to carry around, this is probably not the best choice due to its weight. But if you are looking for something to have at home or at your studio and will only need to carry it around some times this is perfect. The tripod's head is extremely easy to use and it comes with a small bubble to help you see if the tripod is completely straight. The only minor "issue" is that the screw that attaches to the camera is a little bit small but I believe you can buy a bigger one.The legs are very strong and the tripod won't move a bit if you don't want to. The height is also an attractive feature, specially if you want to shoot from above. If you don't want a carbon fiber tripod, I totally recommend this. You even have a bag to carry the tripod. Excellent delivery conditions and timing.

Sturdy and solid.
Very sturdy and rock solid. A little heavy, so you wouldn't want to cart it around all day, but when you need stability above everything else then this is your go-to option. The head is a little awkward to use, but I replaced it with a good quality ball bead and it now works exactly as I need it to. THe carrying bag is handy too.
