Environmentally friendly leather coating.
This is an interesting coating, mostly due to it being solvent free. If you have ever applied a ceramic coating, the instructions generally call for you to wait until you see that rainbow/oil on water effect before buffing the paint. That effect is caused by the solvents used as the carrier liquid for the actual ceramic coating flashing off. That is also why you should also wear gloves (and a respirator) when applying a ceramic or graphene coating, you don't want your skin to absorb those solvents or inhale the fumes and enter your bloodstream. Can't possibly be good for you. This product uses no solvents, so it should be safer to apply. In fact, there are no health warnings associated with the application of this product. This couldn't be easier to apply. Clean the surfaces thoroughly, spray the product onto the included microfiber applicator, wipe the coating onto the surfaces being sure to completely coat the surfaces. Wait 15-20 minutes and buff off with the included microfiber towel. That will result in a nice, natural looking matte finish. You can sit on it as soon as it dries, fully "cures" in 48 hours. This product will provide an extra layer of protection to your leather. It will make the surface hydrophobic, reduce friction when sliding in and out of the seat, and make your seats stain and dye transfer resistant all while adding UV protection. The manufacturer indicated the coating should last a year. A second layer will afford extra protection. My GF is chemically sensitive, so this seemed like a natural choice to use on her leather seats. The treated leather feels softer, slicker and is very natural looking. So far, I'm quite pleased with this coating. It's safer to use, easy to apply and results in a nice, protected finish for your leather. If we get a full year of protection, this might very well become my leather coating of choice. In the event of early failure, I'll update this review.

It seems like it will protect the ‘softex’ Toyota offers
Goes on fine…one bottle basically covers a complete 5 seater car. 2 bucket seats in the front and bench seat in back & also used it in the back of the front seats. Being entirely honest, it seems like it will protect the seats-I guess time will tell.

Protective Coating for Leather and Other Materials
This coating was pretty easy to apply. It made the material water resistant and did protect it from color bleeding from other materials. Didn't notice any particular changes in appearance on the seats I used it on. Pretty happy with the results so far.

Effective Protection for Leather Against Wear and Tear
I'm really happy with the Geist Repel coating. It's easy to apply and provides excellent protection against dye transfer, scuffing, and dryness. The solvent-free formula is safe for my leather surfaces and doesn't leave any slippery residue. It's also durable and lasts a long time, making cleaning much easier. Overall, it's a great product for maintaining the look and feel of my leather.

Interesting treatment
Used this recently on my ‘95 Montero’s grey leather seats. It’s a bit of an older vehicle and I was about to do an ozone treatment as it has some lingering odors from getting wet in off-road trips. I wanted to protect the leather from the damage the ozone machine might cause via oxidation. I vacuumed and cleaned the seats first, then applied the treatment. It went smoothly, wasn’t greasy at all. After allowing the product to dry, the seats felt slippery smooth but not oily. In fact, I couldn’t really tell I had put anything on it - at least, not like when you use any other sort of cleaner or protectant - but it definitely felt… smoother. Proceeded with the ozone treatment the next day and felt at least a little confident that this leather protectant would provide at the minimum a nominal barrier. Seats still smooth and looking nice! Will report back in a few months if I have issues or if the durability claims prove questionable.

Protection for my white leather
My car came with white leather. It looks nice but does require maintenance for it to stay white. I got this product a few months ago and have waited to write the review until now to see how it performs. First, the application was fairly easy. Its the prep work that took time (Cleaning). After the surface was prepped, i applied it and buffed off any residue afterwards. I had enough to do two front seats a three seater bench in the back. Also, there was not a smell afterwards. The leather feels and looks about the same (Which i prefer) after application. A few months down the road, i noticed that each time i cleaned my seats, it was much easier and any dried up spills wiped off nicely. I noticed that in the front seats, there was not any signs of staining. So all in all, i feel that this offered good protection for my leather seats. Hope it last a while.

Lots of leather applications, breathable
I first tried to a leather photo album that had a pretty artisan raw finish, and to my surprise it didn't really alter the color and look, still looks natural but now I just feel it's better protected from oil from fingers and whatnot. I feel confident now to try this on some shoes and bags as well. I had wanted a breathable solution for leather shoes as that is half of the reason I prefer leather, so this is a fantastic find!!
