RubiesGretel German Costume Dress for Kids, Girl's Medium

After reading the reviews I decided to get my girl a large because everyone was saying how small it ran. I suggest you only go one size up. The M fit her perfectly and she wears 6-6x in regular clothes. It is really short and needs to be worn with bloomers but it is absolutely adorable. Great price too. It came super wrinkled but with a warm iron it looks perfect!

The costume is cute and the quality is okay but the sizing is way off, as others have said. Because I read that it runs small, I ordered my daughter the kids large. When I got it I was surprised to find it to be so large so I ordered the medium, expecting it to be a good fit based on the sizing for the large. When I got the medium I was dismayed to find that the medium was in reality about 3 sizes smaller than the large! If the medium was truly one size smaller it would have been perfect. They need to make an in between size. The medium is like a 5/6 kids and the large is like a 12. You can see the comparison and how they fit my daughter in the pics. My daughter is almost 8, 49” tall and fills out a typical size 8. I rarely write reviews but this was so exasperating i had to. I don’t like the way the large hangs on her but we had to return the medium because it’s too tight. I will probably have to alter the large to make it look nice for her Girl Scouts international event.

This was adorable for our Hansel and Gretel theme. Ran a little small but was fine.

Seems well made for a costume. Unlike other reviews ours arrived looking almost identical to the picture advertised. I ordered a medium for my 5 1/2 year old daughter. It falls just below her knees and is just a little large in the midsection. The band that goes around the neck is much too long to use the Velcro, but I just tied it comfortably behind her neck instead. Overall I'm pleased!

Great Costume, is a bit short, might want to plan for the little one to wear shorts!

I got this for my 5 yr old granddaughter to wear to a live musical of The Sound of Music. She literally stold the show! There was a meet and greet after the performance. Cast members came up to her to tell her how they enjoyed her costume and dancing.

Cheap and totally different from the dress shown. Brown is see through. Also the skirt in the front comes up several inches higher than the rest of the skirt which is not how it's shown in the listing. Looks ridiculous and very immodest. I had to put a puffer skirt underneath and it's still not working. Claims it's for 8 to 10 year olds but it's more like a 5t. My 7 year old is too big for it. Absurd. See pics for reference.

I ordered a Medium for my almost 9 year old who wears a 7/8 (medium). It was VERY short. It did not come close to her knees like it does on the model in the picture and my daughter is short for the size she wears (we alter her pants by about 2 inches every time). After reading other reviews, I knew to expect the material to be thin, so that was not a surprise. But, she wore this for an Oktoberfest celebration at school all day and several of the ribbons came loose or unfastened or unraveled (all three things happened). Bottom line is that we needed a costume and this fit the requirement, and it was not expensive, so I think I got what I paid for.
