Love My Copper Hair!
UPDATE 7/10/22 I used this again to update my roots but used a sunset orange hair dye to brighten up my ends without lifting more. The pics attached are from this update. I have dark roots and you can see it really lightened and gave me the copper color back. Would still recommend. I also find using overtone orange for brown hair helps keep my color bright longer. I have used this brand before but in other shades of red. I really wanted this copper color but they never had it in stock at my stores and so I'd gone with other shades. I finally decided to order the copper and I'm glad I did. I have naturally medium to dark brunette hair. My hair was a kind of dark Auburn when I dyed it with this. I knew because my hair was previously dyed my roots would take quicker than the rest of my hair so I started with my ends. (I didn't want to use bleach) My roots were way too bright at first even still and there were some ashy streaks but that was more due to me running out of product (I used 2 boxes for my hair mixed with 30 developer) Because I wasn't happy with the streakiness I did another round the next day using another 2 boxes (with 30 developer) I didn't want to lighten my roots anymore just even them out but man it's hard to find toner to get rid of ash instead of getting rid of brassiness apparently. Anyway I started with the ends again and then mixed a little after care conditioner in with the rest of the dye (like a teaspoon not much) hoping it would dilute it enough to avoid over processing my roots. I then did the roots mostly just the tops where the streaks were the worst and left it on for another 10 minutes only because again I was afraid of too much lightening. Anyway it worked. I'm happy with the hair color. I love this copper color. On virgin hair this would have been much easier but if you have pre-colored hair you may want to consider bleaching the color out first if you want a more even and over all equal tone. Or possibly only use 20 developer on the roots? I'm not a stylist do your research lol I love this brand since I don't have to bleach my hair. I used Ion after care conditioner & some argon oil and my hair feels great even after two rounds. I will buy again when it's time to touch up.

Great stuff!
I love this dye. I have dirty blonde hair, and know its supposed to be for dark hair, but let me tell you, this stuff works amazingly well and barely damaged my hair since I only had to use 20 volume developer. The color is so vibrant and copper. I have natural highlight and lowlights, which makes my hair hard to dye evenly, but it almost perfectly dyed evenly. I got so many compliments after I used this. People just come up to me in the street and tell me they love my hair color. That also could be because I have a skin tone that compliments it very well. I still feel like all of the colors in this line work though I'm sure! I would recommend to anyone that wants to be a red head. Just a warning though, if you like to wash your hair every day or every other day, red hair is NOT for you because it fades so quickly no matter how good the dye. I wash my hair 2 times a week only and only with ice cold water and all natural sulfate, paraben, and silicone free shampoo. I also use semi permanent dyes like special effects to touch up the color since those don't damage your hair at all. I also mix some of the semi permanent color with silicone free conditioner( it has to be silicone free because the silicones block color from absorbing into your hair follicle) and let it sit in a shower cap for 10 or 15 minutes while I'm shaving in the shower. Overall, I would recommend for people who are willing to try and maintain red hair! It's so much healthier than bleaching first!

Went from virgin Dark brown/Black to chestnut brown:)
I used a 30 volume developer in a 1:1 ratio and let it sit with a tight plastic bag on my head for 30 minutes and washed it out with cold water and conditioned it. I genuinely didn’t think this dye would work for me because I have dry hair that doesnt accept dye easily but Loreal Hicolors Honey Blonde dye worked perfectly. I had black hair a couple days ago and tried to use Kolestone 7/31 dye to get this color but it hardly did anything, turning my hair a dark dark brown. Then I used this and it worked. It has a super orange tone which is super cute but sadly I am a cool toned girly so it looks atrocious on me right now. I will be using a blue shampoo to tone it. It dried my hair out a bit and made it a little poofy but in general its hardly any damage. You will probably not be needing any developer higher than 30. Anyways, great product and I reccommend.

Great color payout on dark hair!
I dye my hair black, so whenever I do a fun color my roots grow out fairly quickly. I hate having to rebleach them and tend to just let them grow out or go back to black. I tried this copper out as it said it was for dark hair.. and um.. what dark roots?!?!? My natural near black hair went full copper. I also love that it's just the color in the tube, so I can mix just a little up with some developer and not waste the whole thing in one go. I used half the tune and it was too much! So now I know I only need maybe a quarter of a tube to redo the whole front price of my hair. I still have half a tube left. Will defintiely purchase again.

Black to deep burgundy
I decided to try this as an alternative to my usual bleach + Adore dye routine. Used it on totally fresh, natural black 4c roots as well as on my pre-lightened ends. Used 30 volume developer for about 30-40 minutes in two separate sessions. It lifted my hair a few shades and deposited a very deep, cool-toned burgundy red. Two tubes were more than enough for me, but I have fine hair. I prefer my hair a bit brighter and warmer-toned so I wasn't happy with the lift or color (probably should've gone with Copper). In normal, indoor lighting it didn't look very impressive, but it was definitely more noticeable in the sun. If you have black natural hair and are looking for a subtle change, this could be a good option for you! But if you're looking for a more dramatic lift, just bleach it bby. Damage-wise, I found this to be pretty gentle. It's still a chemical dye so my curls loosened a little bit, but it was definitely less damaging than straight bleach. Also, you're thinking about putting bleach over this dye at any point, be VERY careful. I bleached my roots recently and attempted to bleach over the dark burgundy - it hardly lifted! Make sure you let your stylist know you've used box dye if you decide to do anything professionally! pics are after TWO dying sessions, natural dyed roots on top, pre-bleached ends on bottom!

Leave on for 40 minutes
I tried to do box dye with my hair last month and the instructions said to only leave it on for 25 minutes which I did and you could barely see on my hair. I mixed the color with 30 developer until it was a yogurt like consistency and I started dying the shaft of my hair first, once I did that all over I went in to do the roots last so I wouldnt get hot roots, than I left it on for 40 minutes and washed it out with my fave shampoo 3x. I love the results! It's a bit darker in regular light but in sunlight it's beautiful!
