Great beach volleyball
Specifically, I bought this ball for a neighborhood volleyball tournament. Generally, I bought this ball because I have an indoor ball, but no outdoor ball. This ball is fantastic. I read reviews for numerous top outdoor balls, and this one ended up at the top of my list. The feel is very interesting, because it's solid, almost hard, but causes very little sting when you hit it (or get hit by it). It's grippy (has some texture to it), but easy to play with. Everyone whose played with it commented on how much they like it, and that's my sentiment as well. If you're looking for a quality outdoor ball (and don't mind paying for it), this is the one to go with. One note, and really the only thing that I don't love: the ball seems to have the faintest lump to it. While palming it (I like tossing it around), I detected a very slight lump. It's not really noticeable to the eye, just by hand (my girlfriend confirmed). Not sure if that's from shipping or storage (though the ball did come in its own box, just like you'd find at a sporting goods store), but it's not affected my play at all. I only mention it for full disclosure.

Excellent original ball, but shipping inflation could be a concern
I recently bought the Mikasa VLS300 Beach Champ volleyball from Amazon and overall, I think it's an excellent ball for serious beach volleyball players. However, I did receive it already inflated, which could be potentially harmful during shipping. Although my ball arrived undamaged, it's worth considering this issue. Despite that, the ball's quality and design are still good, making it a decent choice for those looking to play beach volleyball at a higher level.

Love this ball, well worth the money
I've been playing with this ball all summer in leagues, no leaks, durability is great. No lumps or deformations. This ball is soft and feels much nicer to play with in comparison to the lower grade with the vinyl plastic coating which cracks as it gets older and drys out.I paid 45 dollars for this and thinking about buying another as a backup. The Wilson King of the Beach volleyball is a great alternative to this one, although personally i like this one better.

Great outdoor volleyball
Our team has been playing outdoor volleyball, almost every weekend, for over three years now. We have tried out various volleyballs and finally settled on "Spalding - King of the Beach". That has been our favorite for over a year now. This Mikasa beats the Spalding hands down. A few things that make the Mikasa VLS300 excellent are:1. It doesnt soak in moisture (from the morning dew on the grass) like the Spalding and get heavy over the course of the game2. It has this interesting texture that greatly improves the handling while setting and passing3. Something about the material gives a wonderful feel when you hit the ball, while serving as well as when spiking4. Of course the bright colors are appealing tooI have also used the Tachikara VB7500 as well as the lower priced Mikasa VX20 and this one is definitely better than both. No regrets buying this. Just that the price on Amazon went up $12 since I bought this!

Be careful - Should this ball be loosing pressure/deflating every day?
This is a fantastic ball - used on FIVB and at the Olympics. It is a high-quality playing ball for skilled players. Something's just not right. It arrived inflated, and seemed to be the correct play inflation. We played for about 2-3 times a for first 2 weeks locally in the DC area. Maybe topped it up - or not. Can't remember. Then we deflated the ball and took it to Florida for spring break. Played every day for about 1-2hrs... after the 2nd day realized we needed a bit more pressure. During that 3rd week my son was taking it to the beach the next day and recognized an inflation problem. The ball was not flat though certainly unplayable each day we went to use it. Maybe this is a batch of knock-offs or defectives? The ball still holds air enough to play through a session - it just doesn't hold anything overnight. QUITE disappointed in this as it's not the quality of a first-run, Mikasa ball. Now - I opened my Amazon orders page - and discovered this was 2 days outside my 1-month return window. Does anyone how to contact the original 'seller'. This should be a warranty issue. (Maybe if I had a store - I certainly take it back and explain - and likely have a second go at a more durable product.)

This one feels great, like it so much, I bought another on
I compared this one against the official beach volleyball and did not notice any difference in quality and the way it felt, and it was $20 cheaper, so bought it. We have been using it for 6 weeks and it is performing great. We liked it so much, we got a second one so the ones that are not on the court at the time, can still warm up with the same type of ball.

Plays good. Holds up great. Just a little hard.
This ball handles well and play great in all wind conditions. It also is easy to see in full light, shadows and flying through shadows/light. We have used it on sand and grass every day for over a month and it still looks mostly new. Our only complaint is some players say it is a little bit hard even though we have it inflated to the low end of recommended pressure.

Great ball for beach volleyball
This is just as good as any beach volleyball out there. Great feel, perfect ball. I can not attest to it's durability as I have only had it for about 2 weeks, but I've played with it about 4/5 times and it is holding up great so far. No complaints!
