Remotes worked straight out of the box since pre-set for orange-red which is what I have. Took only a couple of tries to program the outdoor unit but very simple. Lot's of instructions included and easy to follow. Quality of the hand-remotes was surprisingly good, quite robust and excellent range (120'). Also liked the scheme on the dual color transmit LED. I personally liked the audible key-press on the outdoor unit but pitch is very high and assuredly many elderly users will not hear it and likely degrade battery life or spook the neighbors' dogs at night; as in all things.I'm actually quite pleased overall but will say that the metal clips are stamped very sharp; they can, will, and did cut. I filed and burnished all the edges smooth (including retention hole) and used a thin strip of polycarbonate water bottle (sacrificial bearing surface) before inserting into the remote so as not to shave the retaining bump. This is an issue with ALL of these retaining schemes, because after a couple of insertion/removals that clip will never stay (same problem as OEM). Don't know about ease of battery replacement on remotes...but OEM wasn't easy, we'll see.I thought the overall plastic a bit thin/light on outdoor unit, but makes sense for how the flip-up stay works. Maybe cheesy, but time will tell on wear or heavy handed users. OEM was beastly tough in comparison. I would of liked a screw template for mounting, but it wasn't hard to make one from scrap paper. I went with stainless steel mounting screws I had on hand instead of the included, because cheap plated steel screws will rust and streak aluminum siding eventually (galvanic corrosion).Gotta say, one of the few Amazon items I've bought lately that I was actually happy with, if you know what I mean. ALL batteries included and shipped in a nice boxed package kit, two hand remotes and one outdoor keypad unit and good instructions. Truly wish they had a three hand-remote and one outdoor unit combo purchase option because spares are better than a good thing!

Excellent garage door openers. Ease of setup, only took a few minutes to setup. The remote control works perfect and they size is just right. The cost was good as well. The range to open the door is great!

Dont over think it. This thing is old school, cheap and to the point. Works perfect and setup didnt take long.

This item would not pair with my 139.53974SRT Craftsman red button garage door opener. As a matter of fact somehow it wiped out the programming on my original Craftsman opener. Fortunately that one paired again OK.
