Well worth it!
I want to say this was well beyond worth it! It was super easy to use these, the pay off was worth it, and I will be buying it again! I want to say these came individually packed in foil packets that you had to open, which it was super easy to rip them open! From there was a little puck that has a seal under the plastic lid which has holes in the plastic lid to guide you on where/how to vent the attracting agent inside. From there I just added it to the middle of the lamp we had and waited. We noticed a HUGEA incase in activity to our lamp due to these small bit mighty pucks! We even left them in for 30 days to see if it would last and it did! I was very shocked and pleased with this as I did not think it would last as long as it did! I am very impressed with the scent to these as well and the performance of them! They are obviously made well!

It sure how effective this is.
Not sure how well these work. I don’t see much difference between using them and not.

Does attract mosquitoes/ NOT user friendly
This AMVOG brand is an affective mosquito attractant that I am using in my bug zapper I use on my porch next to my back door. I did notice an increase of dead mosquitoes on my electricution grid. There is an inside absorbant pad saturated with attractant that has attractant come out from many small holes in the container lid. This interrnal design to hold attractant is what makes this brand last longer than competitors. For two attractant tubs at the current price of $10, that is rated to last up to 180 days, my innitial conclusion is that this is an economical help in decreasing a mosquitoe population.I do have one serious, annoying beef though with this product. All other brands of attractants have a way to mount the attractant to an outside zapper safety cage, but this comes in a circular tub that is meant to be placed inside the bug zapper. This is NOT convenient for me for several reasons. One is that because of a heavy population of insects where I live, I have to clean my Aspectek bug zapper daily to make room for more bugs to be killed. Putting this attractant inside on the bottom would mean that I would have to unsnap the outside protective grid, dump the bottom tray, put the attractant back in, and resnap the outside grid. Other bug zappers I have do not have an easy way to put this attractant inside the zapper. I tried using a high end piece of tape, but the attractant would not stick to it and fell off. I tried using double sided silicone tape used to mount objects to walls. The attractant just fell off again. I put it on top of my zapper, but a breeze caused it to fall off. I finally was so frustrated that I drilled a small hole and my drill bit wrapped around the inside pad that has the attractant and got stuck on my drill bit. When I was able to pull my bit out, some attractant dripped out. The only other solution I can think of is to use a small piece of plastic mesh and put the attractant inside the mesh and attach the mesh to the outside of my bug zapper. Because of this annoying engineering design problem, I deducted two stars. This attractant does have a lot of value in that it appears that it won’t dry out as quickly as other brands because of its design.

Unsure of effectiveness, but a simple upgrade for a mosquito trap
My mosquito situation is just about hopeless. Even when I can remove all the standing water around my place, my neighbor has a stagnant pond that is surely farming hundreds (or thousands) of them daily. I have one of the big 1 acre Dynatraps running 24/7, but it rarely seems to make much difference. It's worth noting that I am in the city, so there are also lots of lights and other things around probably distracting mosquitos from the trap. In short, I'm willing to try about anything, but I don't really expect the situation to get better.I tossed these into the bottom of my mosquito trap and it definitely seemed to increase the general performance. It wasn't too long (a couple weeks?) before I found myself opening up the trap to dig these lures out of the bug pile. I still can't be outside for long without coating myself in bug spray or getting eaten alive, but I don't notice actual swarms of mosquitos, just one or two here and there - which is still enough to make me miserable. I do seem to have fewer insects in general. I actually see very few moths or other insects (besides boxelder bugs, but that's a different problem...) but it's hard to "disrupt the breeding cycle" of mosquitos when there is a mosquito factory operating right next door cranking them out faster than I can suck them into a trap. I need to just throw some mosquito dunks in that pond when no one is watching...I'd say they're worth a try. I thought having to poke all the little holes in the lures to be a little tedious and inconvenient, but if they last 180 days as advertised, it's not something that would have to be done often.

acceptable
While it's not a massive difference, it’s still working, which is what matters. The smell isn’t overwhelming or unpleasant, which is a big plus since I was concerned about it affecting the air around my home. It lasts quite a long time, and I’m happy with how well it pairs with my bug zapper.

Really does attract more bugs!
I put one of these into my bug zapper to hopefully eliminate even more of those little pests...and I am pleased with the results. It was easy to place this in the bottom of my zapper and now there are a lot more zaps coming from the spot we have hung it up (AWAY from where we are!) This can only mean it DOES make a difference.

not too bad
After using it for a while, it’s definitely catching a few more bugs than before, though not a huge amount. Still, it's useful. The smell isn’t terrible, and it hasn’t affected the air around my house, so I find it acceptable.

Uncertain effectiveness
I’ve been using the AMVOG Insect Trap Octenol Lures, and while they might be working, it’s hard to tell. I have noticed a reduction in insects around my home, but that could be more about the changes in weather. The traps do look like they have attracted some more mosquitoes than in the past. It’s a decent attempt, but I’m unsure about their overall effectiveness. Maybe with more time or in different settings, they could perform better.
