Inside the Lens: The Raw Cut
This review will mainly be about the raw cut included with the 4K, along with the bonus features. I opted the buy the standard 4K release instead of the steel book. Personally, I am not a fan of steel books and find them to be flimsy most of the time, but of course I can't speak to this release. The movie itself is great, and I highly recommend it if you have not seen it yet!For film nerds like myself, it's no secret that there has been a real lack of bonus features for new releases. I have mostly opted to wait for price drops on new releases because of the lack of bonus features (that, and the high cost). When I heard about the raw cut being included, I knew this would be a day one buy for me. Happy to report that the raw cut is everything I hoped it would be! It is amazing to see how this film came together. To see how well they were able to capture the performances of the actors, the mix of practical and visual effects, and just how much work really goes into creating a film like this. There are many scenes in this movie that you would have no idea were full CG! Shoutout to Weta for the amazing VFX work. The commentary track is also great. Great insight, and always cool to hear the passion the filmmakers have for the films they create. Other bonus features include a 25 minute behind the scenes documentary and deleted scenes, which are also great additions! The biggest bummer is that the standard theatrical release is not included on the blu-ray, and is only on the 4k disc. Not so much of a problem for me as I have a 4k player, but a bummer for those who may not have made that upgrade yet. I'm sure this decision was made in part due to the limitations of physical media and not wanting to include a third disc. It is worth the trade off in my mind, but others may feel differently. It is also a bummer the raw cut is not included with the standard blu-ray release.Overall, I hope studios take notes and start putting more effort into the bonus features. With most new films being available on streaming, features like this are a great incentive to keep buying physical media!

Stunning Visuals and Immersive Experience
Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes on Blu-ray is an absolute visual masterpiece. The CGI in this film is nothing short of spectacular, bringing the apes and their world to life with incredible detail and realism. The high-definition Blu-ray format enhances the stunning visuals, making every scene a feast for the eyes. The film’s storyline is compelling and well-paced, but it’s the CGI that truly stands out. The motion capture technology used to animate the apes is top-notch, allowing for expressive and nuanced performances that draw you into the story. The landscapes and action sequences are breathtaking, showcasing the full potential of modern visual effects.Overall, Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes on Blu-ray is a must-have for fans of the series and anyone who appreciates great CGI. It’s an immersive experience that highlights the advancements in visual effects technology, making it a standout addition to any movie collection.

Quality DVD plays as should.
If you are into the planet of the apes series then it is a must watch. I only gave it 4 stars because I am not into a lot of drama and these seem to have a little of that. But then again, that's kind of how the entire series is. As far as the dvd itself. It is just as it should be, like new with no scratches or surprises and plays as it should.

Best one.
Just watched all 4 movies. Took a week. This one was my favorite. Love the development of all the characters. The editing made the movie flow so beautiful. Good mix of action n stories telling. Sound n picture was superb. Had to turn sub down . The movie runs for 2hrs 45 minutes. But the last 15 are credits. Love all the series movies but I liked this one the best.

What a wonderful film!
On top of this movie just being flat-out fun and thought provoking, the tin is nice too look at and came in good condition. The x-ray cut of this movie alone is worth the price if you like behind the scenes stuff like I do. I hope this becomes a trend with mocap movies moving forward.
