EF ECOFLOW DELTA2 Portable Power Station with 800W Alternator Charger

Instead of hooking this to your car's alternator/battery, just hook it to a Lithium battery bank to add capacity to this EcoFlow Delta 2 for about 33% of the price of the brand name extra batteries. Low cost LiFePO battery packs are all rage now, most come with bluetooth enabled BMS (Battery Management System) and at the time of this writing are about 18 cents per watt/hour or $180 per kwh. (By comparison the EcoFlow extra 2kw/h battery is about 54 cents over $540 per kwh), so you can get a lot of extra storage going this route for . There are some minor downsides but if you are good with hooking up cables, this "alternator charge" is an awesome accessory that complements the Delta 2. So as mentioned this combo enables you to add external / low cost LiFePO battery packs for a fraction of the cost of stacking EcoFlow external batteries. I had this open and running with an external mid-range 24V 100 Ah LiFePO battery that for ~$500 was able to add 2.4 kwh of capacity - this "alternator" gizmo will charge and maintain the external battery, then will reverse and use it as a power source. Right now the app is showing an 800+ watt charge current (30A @ 26v) which will bring this batter from 10% to 100% in about 3.5 hours. Meanwhile the Delta 2 is doing it's normal thing with all it's fancy ports. There's a "maintenance" mode that will keep the external battery bank topped off at 100 watts max. My use case is I needed something to get a small home through an extended power outage that works like a generator for hours at a time without having to actually run a generator all the time. I have a very quiet Honda Eu2200i that can recharge everything rapidly for an on/off duty cycle and quiet power through the evening and most of the day. I can backfeed the EcoFlow Delta into my home's electrical after disconnecting the mains. Works great! Everything works well in the app - both devices are configured/monitored in the same EcoFlow app. The only thing I noticed that may raise an eyebrow is the energy conversion rate from AC input to the EcoFlow Delta 2 to the "Alternator Charging device" to output to the DC charging wattage out to the battery has about a 25% loss, mostly on the AC conversion at the Delta 2. Ok, now that I'm prepared, I'm sure my power will never go out again like the storm that we just had. Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it! :-)

So far so good! This is to replace a broken River Pro which had that some functions didn't work. I've only used it a few times but it worked out amazingly! I'm an overlander where I need power during camping trips. The struggle with power station is charging it back up. I have solar panels but it charges slowly. I also drive to different spots where the car charging is also slow. The 800w alternator charger is a total game changer for my use case! I charges super fast when I'm driving or idling like I'm charging at home with 115v outlet. Now with a smaller battery set up and faster charging, I lost weight and eliminated the stress of recharge! Huge win.

Great quality product and price point!! I used it in the last hurricane when my power went out and it easily powered my refrigerator for most of they day before needing to be recharged. The app is very easy to use and has several smart features. The most important one is regulating how much power it pulls from your alternator. I have a Toyota Camry so it's good not pull maximum draw off a smaller alternator. I liked this one so much that I bought the Delta pro 2 as well to power additional devices in the future. Word of advice, these often go on sale with deep discounts so watch for sales.

This completely beats solar if you turn your vehicle on for even 1 hour a day with minimum equipment. I have an ecoflow setup installed in my semitruck. There's no need for an apu or any fuel item. This works very well along with my delta ultra! Easy to setup, not very loud depends on how much power your using or sending, price is great I bought solar for my truck and it's OK for if your in the desert but not on a rainy day. The battery life is something I'd have to judge in time but so far 1 month in so good

Well made and light. I could easily toss the two i have into my car and take it over to my parents house if their power goes out. The app is good and it charges quickly. The bad, which is an issue with the ecoflow vendor.. I purchased my units during black friday from ecoflow direct. There was supposed to be a coupon code to use at checkout which wasnt there. I contacted support and they told me not to worry, they can do a price adjustment after i receive the units Cool. So i reach out once i received my units. Bought two so that should have been 60 bucks. Ghosted. Ecoflow never replied for my follow up to get this sorted. I’m beyond the return period and when you buy from ecoflow on amazon you are responsible for return shipping. I can’t wait to see how i will be ignored if i ever have warranty issues.

I have to wait longer than normal to receive it, but ECOFLOW customer service keep me informed about the status of Delta 2 and Delta 2 max via Amazon mail system. Delta 2 max is a workhorse compared to Delta 2, we charge the batteries at night when the electricity is less expensive and during the day time we use it to power the television, kitchen appliances, cellphones, computers, internet, alarm systems, lamps, etc. We can’t wait to purchase extra batteries or Delta Pro. Thank you ECOFLOW for providing us with a Delta 2 cover, free of charge for waiting for delivery. This purchase has been a well investment for our daily living, while saving a little on electricity bills. We highly recommend their products.

I have another ecoflow product that failed. Their customer service is horrible. Tried send me a replacement unit that's half the specs and NOW won't respond to my emails and calls. What a joke. DO NOT BUY! AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Will be great on my camping trip and not require me to depend on my Solar panels
