Review of the Samsung S801D slim white sound bar and subwoofer. I bought a new Samsung 75inch tv but sound from tv was worse than a pair of computer speakers. I thought I would get used to it but got tired of turning the volume up 50+ just to hear while eating at dinner table. Saw this being sold brand new for $630 but only paid $500 for the tv at Best Buy so didn't want to spend a lot. Saw reviews on the "factory renewed" version which were mainly positive so pulled the trigger on the $330 renewed one including a 2 year protection plan for another $30 since the renewed didn't come with the standard warranty so this seemed like the best value for my money. Unboxing was easy, setup was even easier as you only need to supply power to the sound bar and sub. Because this was so slim, it sits right below the mounted tv on a mantle which you can barely see it, the sub I connected behind my couch. All I had to do was power on the sound bar, select Bluetooth and connect to it from my tv settings menu so connectivity was simple. I used the sound remote to choose Dolby Atmos as that sounded the best, the clarity and power from this slim bar and sub are amazing! I don't have to turn the volume up past 15 to hear deep, rich, full sounds with deep bass coming from the sub. Before I had to turn the volume up to near 60 and the sound was still crap but with this sound bar and sub, it's such a fulfilling sound that fills the entire living room, den and kitchen at the same time. Don't be afraid of the "factory renewed" versions as everything looked and felt brand new with no signs of any wear or use which I was a bit concerned about. Everything was sealed and wrapped as if it was brand new so you wouldn't know the difference. I feel like I got a deal on an amazing sound bar without breaking the bank for a Bose or Sonos brand as well as piece of mind by buying the 2 year $30 warranty. I can't believe any negative reviews about this S801D as the performance exceeds the price so save you a few $100's and wait to get the "factory renewed" version, you won't regret the purchase, trust!

Bang for the buck this is awesome, ours was refurbished and it sound perfect for what we wanted. It works with the TV great and the bass is just enough for a larger room. Bass could be better but for the size.. its great!

Highly recommend this Samsung HW-S801D 3.1.2ch Wireless Soundbar and Sub. The package arrived in perfect condition. This system was incredibly simple to set up and sounds wonderful. I am using the wireless setup so no need for any wired connection to my TV. The sub provides very substantial, clear low end and the super slim bar performs stunningly well. I am no audiophile but have had expensive A/V receiver six speaker systems and have used higher end soundbar units from the likes of Bose and Sonos. Not only does this unobtrusive wireless slim setup from Samsung give them serious competition, it offers plenty of clear volume and bass for our 14x20 living room with vaulted ceilings. And, as a 70-something year old person who needs some auditory enhancement when watching shows, I can say this puts out crystal clear dialogue. This is an easy 9.5/10, and the simple setup and incredible price point makes this a steal. Highly recommended without reservation.

I bought the refurbished version because I’m frugal and these reviews were just too good to pass up. I will join the crowd and confirm that my soundbar and bass speaker apart of the HW-S801D set is in mint condition. I bought this because my living room in my apartment is not very big so I didn’t want something that would be overkill. This…this is perfect. For anyone saying the bass isn’t good on these, you’re crazy. I grew up with an older brother that had 2 12” subs in his truck so I’m pretty desensitized to a lot of bass. But this little soundbar and tots partnering bass cube ROCK my living room. I just watched “Sicario” with mid level bass settings and was blown away. Absolute vocal clarity and deep sounding bass that accompanies the Samsung Q70D perfectly. The Q symphony Samsung advertises is really great. If I had a larger than average living room, this wouldn’t be my pick, but for most single family homes and apartments, THIS is the gold standard in my humble opinion. Thank you to the seller!

Sounds good. Voices are clearer than my previous soundbar. Looks great with Frame TV. Nice sub, but I wish I could turn it up a bit more. Sub volume and bass setting are pegged and it's a little weak. I bought this refurbished and it was like brand new.

You never know if the product that is refurbished/reconditioned/recertified is going to look/work as intended or new. Happy to report, this speaker set checks all those boxes. Very happy with how clean and compact this package is from Samsung. Works really well with our new OLED Samsung that uses Q-Symphony via HDMI ARC. Fills the room in a great way, especially with action films and music through Amazon.
