Works week for an openmediavault system
I have installed this on a home made NAS to use an external harddrive at an acceptable speed. It does exactly what I wanted, working on a openmediavault system.

Excellent Cheap Solution
I should use a NAS to store my 100tb media collection but over the years I’ve just been adding USB external hard drives to an old PC which acts as server. They now number 15, and what with other USB devices, I was running out of external controller resources (USB 3 End Points) on the AM4 PC. This card has its own controller independent of the motherboard and I’ve plugged in seven of the drives into it via a hub, leaving the PC to handle everything else. It all works fine now and a cheap solution.

No use at all.
When fitted it said software not intended for this device. Hardly a good start is it. Returned for refund.

Works as stated but drivers needed
Unfortunately had to get the drivers and double install it. It 1st find the Asmedia drivers but fails to install the root hub (or secondary -> had to point at the drivers and do it the long way). Otherwise works good.

Added this card into my HP Elitedesk i7 6700 SFF desktop to provide USB 3.2 connectivity. Perfect for USB-A AND USB-C devices such as Nvme externals or Samsung T7s running at 1050Mb/s. Anything lower in speed still prefect such as USB SSDs at 560MB/s. Additionally I added a GTX 1650 NVIDIA a year ago and this PC flies with a 1TB boot drive. Loving the card !!

If you are looking to add a card to your PC to run a Quest 2 via the DirectLink cable. (I'm looking at you iRacing racers) I can confirm that this card is plug and play and with power from the power unit to the card with a SATA cable it charged, or at least maintained, while racing. I can also confirm that the Quest 2 is recognized as USB 3 in the Oculas App. After install I raced for about 30 minutes with my Quest 2 fresh off the charger and at 100% battery. After racing I as still at 100%.

Plug and Play exactly as described! Keep in mind it does NOT come with a SATA power adapter, but luckily I had a couple extra from my PSU that I hadn't used yet. Main purpose for purchasing for me was to isolate my mouse and keyboard on the main USB hub for gaming, for better filtering and response times / latency. And then I used this PCIE host controller to plug in my audio DAC and video camera separately. Installation was easy even with a x16 PCIE slot. Did not have to download drivers and worked immediately. So far it's posted every time, no issues with it randomly not working. Also I saw a review which said this PCIE card doesn't work with MSI motherboard's, I have a z690 and have had absolutely no issues. I believe that user may have not installed it properly, had issues with their system, or it might have just been a bad one of the batch and they got unlucky. Either way, this little PCIE card as been fantastic so far and I highly recommend it!
